Passed away in his sleep while on holiday in Spain at the age of 58.
Was always one of my favorite players. His blues stuff was pretty recognizable both in tone and in phrasing, I thought. RIP.

Winning. Excellent.
Dude was underrated as a vocalist, kinda like SRV, IMO.

"As a guitar player, he had a huge influence on the European scene, and certainly on myself. America had Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen; we had Gary Moore and Michael Schenker!

After watching that "Emerald Isle" DVD, it's no exaggeration to say that Gary was "the European Eddie Van Halen."
