View Full Version : Potential Cuts?

With some teams already cutting some players this week, like the Browns with Shaun Rogers, how likely is it that the Broncos also make some moves? Are Dawkins, Hill, and Goodman possibilties? Maybe Graham. I haven't heard anything about their futures w/ the team since the season ended.

Dawkins (I believe, not 100%) has a $6 million club option - hard to see them picking that up.

I'm waiting on a "player X is growing by leaps and bounds" article from the Post. That's my horse.

Must be kind of weird to be "cut" from a team but still be on the team because no CBA.

Quinn?

Which one ? Brady is 100% expendable IMO and the other is probably 75%.....................

I would keep Quinn as the number 2 for the year. We need a backup to Tebow who probably will be sidelined a little throughout the season with his playing style.

Can it be said that a vet like Dawkins is 'growing by leaps and bounds?' :approve:

Have Quinn at #2 is like not having a backup. If he goes, he goes...HALLELUJAH!

Keep him for now. He's the perfect backup to Tebow.

Get rid of him. He's old.

Disagree. I feel like we need another Bubby. An experienced vet ala what the Titans did with Kerry Collins. Someone that CAN play a week or two when Tim's play style inevitably puts him out for a week or two no matter how tough he is.

How can he be the "perfect backup" for anyone if he can't play at all?

What happens when tebows style puts him out for the year we're gonna need a serviceable backup, who though

Pretty big exaggeration... QBs are actually more susceptible to lower shots and bending weirdly within a pile that are IR inducing from within the pocket than they are outside.

He's more susceptible to things like cracked ribs, but I think he has a better chance at not taking a BIG injury than any "pocket passer"

What makes Quinn perfect as a backup? Being terrible at everything doesn't make him a good backup QB.

We have Elway as a backup so we are good there. Bye bye Brady.

How can you possibly know that seeing as he never took a snap in a broncos game.

So many here want to dismiss Brady Quinn yet have no idea how he has progressed since he has been a Bronco. None zero!

Well he was demoted to 3rd string by a rookie as the year progressed.

that was because of the rule that if the 3rd string qb played the other two were unavailable for the rest of the game it was to allow Tebow to play a few plays now and then and allow Orton to return.

It was until Tebow became the starter. I believe the injured Orton was still #2 during those games as well.

Point being, it's not like there is no evidence that Quinn sucks. As a matter of fact the only existing evidence we have, being preseason and depth chart, points to that very idea.

Too late. It appears each of those fools already resigned mid season last year.

Please tell me Maroney isn't......

Last thing Mcdaniels did was give Maroney 5 years at 32 million with 15 million in signing bonus.
