media douche a: Sharpe was a Bronco. Out.

douche b: Out

douche c: Definitely out.

douche d: Why's he on this list again? Has it been proved Denver is actually a real place?

douche e: Well he did play on the Ravens...

douche b: Oh, I see that. Well I guess we know he's real...

douche a: Sharpe was a Bronco. Out.

douche c: Definitely out.

douche b: My bad. Out.

sharpe will make the HOF eventually, unfortunately looks like it will be as a senior. There's a good class this year and a lot of deserving players. I'm probably wrong, but only 2 make it(not counting seniors)?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Football_Hall_of_Fame

Voting procedureTo be eligible for the nominating process, a player or coach must have been retired at least five years. Any other contributor such as a team owner or executive can be voted in at any time.[6] Unlike the Baseball Hall of Fame, which explicitly waives its five-year waiting period for players who die during that time or while active,[7] the Pro Football Hall of Fame has no provision to waive its waiting period.

Fans may nominate any player, coach or contributor by simply writing to the Pro Football Hall of Fame via letter or email. The Selection Committee is then polled three times by mail to eventually narrow the list to 25 semifinalists: once in March, one in September, and one in October. In November, the committee then selects 15 finalists by mail balloting.

Nine members of the Selection Committee also serve as a subcommittee known as the Seniors Committee to screen candidates who finished their careers 25 or more years prior.[6] The Seniors Committee then adds two finalists from prior to the modern era, making a final ballot of 17.

The Selection Committee then meets the day before each Super Bowl game to elect a new class. To be elected, a finalist must receive at least 80 percent support from the Board, with at least four, but no more than seven, candidates being elected annually. If less than four candidates get 80 percent of the vote, then the top four vote-getters will get in that year. If more than seven get 80 percent, then only the top seven vote-getters will be inducted.

All but one of the people enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame played a large portion of their careers in the National Football League (Billy Shaw, who played his entire career in the American Football League, is the lone exception). Though several Hall of Famers have had AFL, Canadian Football League and United States Football League experience, and there is a division of the Hall devoted to alternative leagues such as this, to this point no players have made the Hall without having made significant contributions to either the NFL, AFL or All-America Football Conference. For CFL stars, there is a parallel Canadian Football Hall of Fame; only one player (Warren Moon) and one coach (Bud Grant) are in both halls.

im not.

he was a situational 3rd down pass rusher.

Charles was not in there on 1st and 2nd down.

To call him one of the greatest DEs in the history of the game along with greats such as Reggie White, Deacon Jones, Jack Youngblood, and Bruce Smith would be a travesty to the game.

4. Martin - Solid runner that doesn't love he should as great one
5. Reed - four SB appearances
6 Roaf - All Decade LT
7. Sabol - NFL films

Sabol getting in is a joke in my opinion. He'd be getting in for NFL Films as a whole and not just for his personal contribution.

Is everyone just assuming the top 5 of the voting will get in the HOF? If that were the case, why draw it down to 10?

EDIT: Man, I'm a retard. It didn't even click the SB is tomorrow and this was THE announcement. Something earlier in the thread confused me and thought they were just announcing top 10.

Good to see Sharpe get in. I thought if he didn't get in by the time Gonzo came up for it, it'd be a problem.

Congrats to Shannon, 2 years in a row that a deserving Bronco gets in. I hope more of the fanbase shows up this year and supports the retired Bronco than those that showed up for Floyd last year.

Those of us that went represented well but it was kinda sad that more Bronco fans didn't make the effort to support a guy who waited as long as Floyd did.

Would you like everyone to be accepted?

There's enough "pretty goods" in there as is. Blame the idiots putting mediocre players in the HOF and it'll take care of those left out.

At the same time, everyone just thinks their team gets snubbed. They definitely should not be putting more people in.

This is true and you confirm peoples problem with the HOF with the mediocre players statement and I do believe he was blaming the idiots putting the mediocre players in there. Sterling's NFL career ended after seven seasons because of a neck injury. . . . Among the first-time eligible players and coaches for the Hall of Fame's Class of 2012: Tiki Barber, Will Shields, Drew Bledsoe, Mike Alstott, Corey Dillon, Marty Schottenheimer, Bill Cowher and Bill Parcells.
