We've got a week. Degenerates, let's gather and talk about the bets that are sure to be made. Sure, there's the 3-point spread. There's also the over/under of 45.

But we all know what makes the Super Bowl awesome is the ridiculous prop bets. The coin flip. The MVP. The color of Gatorade to be dumped on the winning coach. And of course the more legitimate props of pass yards, receptions by players, etc.

So I ask you: what are you betting on this week? Both for the game (i.e., a more traditional bet) and then if you're going to have any fun (i.e., betting on the Gatorade dump) with it.

I'll be honest; I still don't know who I'm going to take for the game. But I will certainly be placing a few small ridiculous prop bets.

Best sportsbook experience ever...one of my buds placed $350,000 on the cardinals vs the steelers in 2009 Superbowl. Prior to the game, the spread was 7 pts. Seeing the amount of cash he laid out, he was pissed at me for doubting his ego as I told him he should buy a few points...he ended up settling on 1/2 a point. After waiting for the bet to be finaliized on Friday we had some fun that weekend partying here in vegas. He was on edge when sunday arrived and the mgm gave us a private booth to watch the game. War on SB 43. Needless to say he was pissed all game long yelling and basically being a complete azz to everyone...it was obviously the worst bet id ever experienced for 3 and a half quarters of fb...he even paid the server additional $500 in cash to put on a cardinals shirt for the game and cheer for them just to feel better.

Watch the last 7 min of the game and ask yourself...how would u have responded.

Well, we all know what happened, needless to say even though the cards lost..he was covered by the spread. The book manager has a picture of our room up in his office as one of the best betting stories he's ever personally witnessed.

Larry Fitzgeralds td was like pure adrenaline in the booth as we all lost it. He actually started crying.

We bought cardinals season tix for two years and had a blast celebrating all week long...he tipped that waiter $10,000 and gave two other guys $5,000 each that lost betting on the cardinals. Their response was priceless. Simply put it was the most amazing SB experience...other than the broncs first SB win.

I'll see your degeneration and raise you the AFC +1
:giggle:

I kid, even I haven't reached such depths...yet. Sure sign of a needed intervention: betting the pro bowl and/or women's basketball.

In all seriousness, you have to tease the Super Bowl. The lines are just too solid. I think I'm taking the Steelers +8.5 & taking the under at 51 - although I hate betting the under.

The prop bets are a must as well. I think it was last year when we successfully bet the over at +/- a million on the CSI Miami promos and won. ;)

I pulled all my money out just before Christmas but this is certainly a fun time of the year. If you look hard enough, there's lots of angles to be worked.

gb cover points and take the over! I think losing Pouncey will hurt Pitt more than they think against a team like GB.

Well, today is the day. Sadly, I still don't have a strong feeling. I think I'm going to take the Packers and roll a bunch of props. Probably parlay it with Rodgers to win MVP to up my payout.
