Question ... You don't go into the Hall as anything do you ? It's not like baseball where you pick a team to go in as and you wear that teams hat on stage and in the bust and whatnot ...

But in the NFL you do not go in as a specific team member I don't think.

This is true. Champ will go in remembered as a Bronco though, no matter if he doesn't resign with us or not.

Champ should have made the team before McCourty, but this nonsense of saying the subs are Pro Bowlers as well needs to end. Please note my point is not a rip on Champ and a Pro Bowl invite still carries more weight than a grammy award.

The Man's a Pro Bowl institution....even when he wasn't selected, I just knew he'd end up being there sooner or later as a sub.

So here in lies my confusion, when Zimmerman went in he was in fact part of the Bronco family. But it was not until Elway went in that they said "First Bronco inducted into the hall"

Pro Bowls don't mean much. It's the AP all pro team that really sets players apart. Not sure when people confused pro bowl with all pro but the fans used to all know the difference.

Now, it's been a long time since I've been to the HOF but if I recall correctly, they list all the teams a player has played for but one is bolded. Also, there's a team area and I don't believe every player who ever played for the Broncos is listed there. I recall there being not much at the team area and quite a few HOF players who spent a year or two in Denver at some point in their career.

That was also back in the day when Mike Anderson's jersey was still on display so it's been a few years now.

No its still cool when a guy is a first ballot pro bowler and to watch them play. But really the All Pro team sort of on the back burner and thats too bad. When I was kid the all pro team was everything.

I think Bailey only been ap all pro once that was 2006. I thought more but doesn't look like it. That just shows how hard it is to be one of the 2 best at the CB spot. Very hard to win.

Also with the pro bowl being missed by injured players, anyone going to the Superbowl, it is sort of just watered down BS now. Not trying to be a bummer though glad we have someone to watch that game.

I just think they are getting us ready to lose him. I didnt like Xanders saying they want to evaluate whats best for the team. Any evaluation tells you for the product on the field keeping bailey what is best.

If they start this off by letting him walk I won't have a warm fuzzy feeling. IMO that will be out number 1.

Good for Champ and good for the Broncos to have the recognition/representation. Just wish we hadnt pulled that contract extension...

Would you risk injury in a game when you had no contract and will be probably the hottest free agent of the year?

Nnamdi Asomugha bowed out of the Pro Bowl after tweaking his right ankle in Wednesday's practice.

Asomugha was able to practice Thursday but decided against playing. It's the same ankle that plagued Asomugha for the second half of the season, so he's better off concentrating on getting back to 100 percent as he approaches free agency.

The AP makes mistakes too because the media is voting.

There are 64 starting cornerbacks in the league and only six of them are originally named to the team. The number has gone up to nine with the injuries. That's still a select group when you consider the caliber of athletes that play that position.

For instance, Antione Winfield for Minnesota has been to only two Pro Bowls in his entire career at the cornerback position. There's a large cult in the football community who think Winfield should have gone to a lot more Pro Bowls.

How about some examples of the media getting it wrong? I can find far more where the fans get it wrong.

I know the absence of a serial rapist and Clay Matthews may mean the pro bowl becomes a meaningless exibition game with no relevance at all and just a poor excuse for NFL executives to go to a warm place and play golf on amazing courses for a week while pretending to work.

Move it back to the week after the SB and include players from all teams.

Not like they play a lot of tough defense anyway in the Pro Bowl, but they really gave him a lot of time to be ready!

which is why i like the ap all pro, and the sporting news all pro, which may be better even though its not as old probably.

Pro bowl is cool for our players to get but like you said not really anything but a clever marketing tool. Not even a real game.

Which was why I was saying Asomugha may not get the big contract offers this year. And maybe that gives Denver a chance to sign Asomugha, who is a solid CB. I think Denver should make a play for him, if FA even comes to be.
