According to ESPN:

27% of America would want Cutler on their team

73% said no thank you

But jhns told us it was only "McDaniels fans" who didn't think Cutler was a franchise QB?? This can't be right!

 I haven't read this thread but it's funny that it HAS to be about that for the die hards. If you don't like Cutler that MUST mean you "(still) Love McDaniels." I also like how he can't have been right about anything, like if word got out that McDaniels likes ice cream we should all stop eating it just to be safe.

I'm not sure there's anyone holding onto the "McDaniels should be in Denver" line of thinking. There are those of us who believe Denver gave him too much power too soon and he ran awry, but that he's a good head coach in the future...that'd be me...

Which came first, jayhns' hatred of McDaniels, or love of Cutler?

You seem to be confused. The Cutler haters that claim they are Bronco fans are the McDaniels fans. Other teams fans don't care enough to vote or just hate on players that aren't on their team. I do it all the time in polls.

Also, maybe the non McDaniels fans didn't care enough to vote. I sure haven't voted yet.

What you girls fail to realize is that the McDaniels fan label isn't just given to those that still claim to like him. I mean, even the lowest IQ can now tell that what he did here was horrible for this franchise. The McDaniels fan label is given to all those that defended his every move and/or **** talked everyone that called out what he was doing as being bad. It is the group of people that will pull up every rumor and random thought by anyone to justify his moves, like the Cutler trade.

I don't expect you McDaniels fans to get it though. This line of thinking is far too complex for a McDaniels fan.

Yes, you have always made fun of us. But you weren't as funny about it. Maybe it's more about you being SOOOOO wrong this time that makes it seem different? I mean you had valid points with Mcd, but Cutler sucks. I mean he isn't good. At all. Like national joke bad.

I am having fun with it. It's rare these days in an argument where one side is soooooo clearly wrong. Usually there is grey or a reasonable compromise. But Cutler blew it in the big game. Elway, Montana bradshaw etc... all stepped up in the playoffs. Cutler blew it, like huge! Cutler is Tony Romo.

Me? I have no need to justify my opinion of the situation. I can just continue to entertain myself by pointing out the lies, rumors, and ridiculous justifications you all are digging up.

Anyways, Elway agrees with me. He is the guy running this team. He knows more about football than anyone here. Shanahan agrees with me. The Bears staff agree with me. These are all people smarter than all of us.

You know who agrees with you? McDaniels. The guy that led this team to its first top 2 pick ever in the NFL draft.

A Dear Jhns Letter....

Dear Jhns ( Passive Aggressive Closet Case),

By the time you read this, I'll be blowing your best friend. I'm sorry for doing this but, OK, I'm really not. I know this might comes as a bit of a shock to you - especially because you're too buried in porn to notice. But I'm sorry – I just need hot sex with someone who isn't a human potato sack. I think you're a psychopath, but I don't think we're right for each other. First of all, we're not compatible. You're a Bronco fan, and I'm not. You like declawed rodentia colonics, you eat with your feet, and enjoy defrauding the elderly, and I don't like any of these things. Your favorite movie is Glitter, and your favorite band is The Partridge Family. Do you even know what my favorite movie or band is? I once asked you what color my eyes are and you said "Nuke me some ****ing hash browns!". Anyway, I want to date an entire troupe of Chippendales. But you know what? I still want to be stalked. We can totally have hot sloppy booty calls . We had some good times, or so it looks on the videotape (even though I'm passed out) . But please, don't get all John Wayne Gacy like last time. That means no spiteful genital tattoos. And look - I won't even make an issue out of the $37,229 you owe me, or the fact that you auctioned our love child. So take care of yourself - and enjoy prison.

Peace Out,

Jay Cutler

P.S. It’s barely 4 inches - much less six.

;D Just kidding, I kid, really. One can find some weird stuff on the internet. ;D

I cant wade through all the pages of this thread-and i usually do before spouting off. but i rememebr this one pu ssy QB- in an AFCCG that "quit" let his back up come in.
the back up was gary kubiak and the back that was tearing it up- before he fumbled the game away was steve sewell.
but yay we have-had KO "all he does is win"

Hotwheelz

Just to clarify: The reason everyone is bagging Cutler is not that he pussed out, or choked; It's that he was one game away from the Superbowl, the one thing every NFL player dreams of, the one thing players like Dan Marino who never got their rings would give their MCL's and ACL's for... and he didn't feel like it was worth the risk. If that was Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Orton, Tebow, Plummer, RapistBurge or 80% of other QB's you wouldn't be able to keep them off the field. You're going to make the argument that the trainers refused to let him back in? Fine. Did you ever once see him cheer his teammates on? Pump them up? What about on Hanie's near comeback drive? No.

Maybe winning the SB isn't his dream? Then he shouldn't be in the NFL now should he?

OABB
01-29-2011, 06:54 AM
Actually we are tagging on cutler for his sub 40 qb rating in the cg. That is something good qbs never do. Qbs are defined by big games, and cutler isn't good. He's like a 6.

Cito Pelon

I can't say for sure if Jay 'quit', 'threw in the towel', 'called it a day', 'cried uncle', whatever, but it sure was a strange sequence of events.

First, he takes a "shot to the outside of the left knee". According to NFL.com's play-by-play of the game it happened on CHI's last possession of the first half:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2011012301/2010/POST20/packers@bears/analyze/box-score#analyze-channels:cat-post-playbyplay

"Chicago Bears at 00:49
1-10-CHI 42 (:49) 6-J.Cutler pass short middle to 22-M.Forte pushed ob at GB 41 for 17 yards (37-S.Shields).

1-10-GB 41 (:42) 6-J.Cutler pass deep left intended for 13-J.Knox INTERCEPTED by 37-S.Shields at GB 3. 37-S.Shields to GB 11 for 8 yards (80-E.Bennett). CHI-6-J.Cutler was injured during the play. His return is Questionable. Play Challenged by Replay Assistant and Upheld.

But Jay is jogging off the field after the INT, and IIRC jogged to the lockerroom right after that, before the half was over and before the rest of the team.

Jay opens the second half. So obviously he and the staff didn't think it was a huge deal.

"3rd Quarter
Chicago Bears at 15:00
2-M.Crosby kicks 54 yards from GB 30 to CHI 16. 23-D.Hester pushed ob at CHI 40 for 24 yards (36-N.Collins).
1-10-CHI 40 (14:52) 22-M.Forte right guard to CHI 45 for 5 yards (52-C.Matthews).

2-5-CHI 45 (14:21) 22-M.Forte right guard to CHI 46 for 1 yard (90-B.Raji, 55-D.Bishop).

3-4-CHI 46 (13:40) 6-J.Cutler pass incomplete short right to 22-M.Forte.

Jay after the game says in regards to the 3rd Q attempt to play, "I couldn't plant and throw."

However, the left leg is not the plant leg for a right-handed QB. The right leg is the plant leg.

So there's a little food for the argument both ways. He tried, but couldn't cut it I guess. They all felt he wasn't going to be effective I'm guessing.

OTOH, he was never ruled "out" by the CHI bench, which was pretty strange.

I doubt CHI will draft a QB high, but if Jay has to chase his GF for the next few months you never know. I hope he has a ranch-style house, he can't keep chasing her up and down stairs. He's gonna trip and get another concussion, or maybe injure the other leg.
