Unless you have a torn ACL (which I doubt), how could you even imagine sitting in this game?

Where is the leadership?

I know you have been sucking up this game, but come on, get some treatment on your knee. Just don't stand there.

There is a difference between questionable and out. You are questionable.

Chicago fans aren't taking this well:

Comment From Sean Sean : ]
Cutler is only happy and upbeat when his team is winning and that's the problem with his leadership.

Comment From Joe Joe : ]
Cutler is probably the last QB in the NFL I would want on my team. I've never seen a QB with less energy.

Comment From stan stan : ]
Leadership lacking for the Bears.

Comment From Andy Andy : ]
So is Cutler really injured, or just not playing well/depressed?

Comment From StealthTurkey StealthTurkey : ]
Cutler is hurt! His ego has a HUGE bruise.

Comment From D Stokes D Stokes : ]
If Cutler is questionable...not out...why is he sitting down with a coat wrapped around him?

Comment From Jon Jon : ]
Cutler could be finished in Chicago if there isn't a good explanation for this.

Yep. Rivers had surgery to be ABLE to play in the game. The surgery just cleaned it a little. He put on a brace, went out and played.

Cutler is a puss, but not many would have tried to play with a torn ACL. Dont think Brady would either.

cutler is dinged up, no doubt...

but the bears wanted to use that as an excuse to see what collins could do...

thats how bad cutler was stinking it up...

with that said, collins looks absolutely awful...the gamble isnt paying off and putting cutler back in now would look too peculiar...

Well, it looks like his back-up is keeping up the INT pace.

But, c'mon... seriously. Did you expect Cutler to do anything meaningful in this game?

Chicago carried him into a playoff game just like they did Rex Grossman, and he was useless in a big game, just as anyone who's watched him play (and is honest) would expect.

Cutler is not a top flight QB. Why would anyone be surprised by this?

The only surprise to me as that the Chicago D/Running game didn't make this game more interesting.

The Cutler fail was about as surprising as the sun rising today.

Yup, the Cutler lovers were crowing him after he played well against Seattle. Some of us have been saying let's see how he does against a real defense and a team that belongs in the playoffs. Well, now we know.

Who was that Oregon QB that played with like... no ligaments whatsoever in his knee? Smart? No. Passion that MUST be respected? Yep.

Yep. Ballgame. Bears really need some O-line help and a Big, physical WR along with continued development from Cutler(he did cut his picks by 10)

I am so glad I don't have to endure 2 weeks of SB hype here in Chicago. Last week with all the fairweather fans coming out of the closet has been bad enough.

Wow, that's quite a flameout for the record books for Cutler. He'll never live this one down.

I guess I'll have to wait for an injury report, but if its anything less than a torn ligament, this guy is toast in Chicago. He looked flustered and skittish as he struggled in this game. If he's sitting with anything less than a serious injury, people in Chicago are going to rake him over the coals.

Same Jay different city.

He tried to play after the injury in the 1st series of the 2nd half, there was a handoff at 14:15 of the 3rd Quarter on 2nd down where Jay turned around and ended up having to block a blitzer who went right into his knee, he threw a weak pass the next down. He didn't come back in after that. Surprised they didn't replay that more and talk about it in the coverage.

all football message boards INCLUDING CHICAGO'S are absolutely destroying cutler right now...why any fan would want him as the leader of their football team is beyond me...

only Cutler could find a way to be considered a loser after "leading" his team to the NFCCG...

Just got back from watching the game at a bar on the north side of Chicago...

The bears fans were absolutely disgusted by Cutler's lack of toughness. Even the diehards were mercilously ripping on him--it was hilarious. I know this has been discussed ad naseum on this board, but at some point, you just have to admit that he probably doesn't have "it". In all fairness, his actual injury has yet to be disclosed, but c'mon, it's the NFC championship game. Elway played his whole pro career w/o an ACL, and Olandis Gary played the entire 2nd half of a game after shredding his ACL--it's not like people haven't played with severe injuries like this before. And besides, before the injury, he played pretty bad...

Throughout this entire ordeal (firing Shanahan/hiring McDaniels/trading Cutler), even though I've shaded a bit towards the anti-Cutler crowd, I've tried to be reasonable. But with all that's happened, if the article from the Post this morning is true (Cutler demanded a trade as soon as McD was hired), I think it's safe to just say the guy is a douchebag, and I'm glad he's not on our team, end of story.

All the talent in the world, but the mental toughness of an eight-year old girl...
