Good thing Mularkey took time off from interviewing to prepare to get his ass whipped on national tv. Overrated team and QB nice job of Mike White keeping his team motivated during the buy week.

This is absolute ****ing bull****. Green Bay should not be allowed to have Aaron Rodgers on their team after 20 years of Favre. They should be forced to go through at least 10 years of qb hell before getting another great qb.

Which is a good example of if you get the chance to get a great QB no matter what the situation you take him

It just goes to show how the NFL has become a joke in how it doesnt let you play pass defense. It seems like someone has that kind of a stat line all the time now.

it makes a little sad, I was pulling for Gonzo to finally get a playoff victory. He never got that in KC and he's a good player, seems like a solid person. Oh well, Green Bay came in and rolled on over them

Rodgers is a great QB, but Favre was the Packers for so long I get it. Kind of like Montana and Steve Young I suppose.

Yeah, pretty much. I think they will go to the big game if they keep up this level of play, but the AFC defense will be a test for him for sure.

Ummm actually it goes to show you what a great QB Rodgers is. Did you even watch the game? The way he played has nothing to do with NFL rules.

Statistically speaking he has already surpassed Favre when you compare their 1st 3 seasons as starting QBs in Green Bay.

Little known fact, Rodgers broke Favre's single season Packer record for most passing yards in a season. Favre had 16 seasons to set it, only took Rodgers 2 years to break it ROFL!

Matt Ryan still hasn't won a championship or big game at the college or professional level. Maybe one day he'll be good enough, but I haven't seen it.

it does and it doesn't. If you are comparing eras, okay; the nfl has janked up the rules. however his contemparies play under the same rules. He gets the ball out quick and he can read a defense.

Well, part of it was Atlanta. Every time they tried rushing only 3 guys, Rodgers burned them. What boggled my mind was how often they did that.

The worst thing to happen to the Falcons was the kick return TD. It was fun for a couple minutes, but their defense was just out there for 8 min of game time and they had to go right back on the field. I figured if GB got a first down, they'd answer.

That's a great take. The Packers were totally unable to defend the pass.

i liked the 70's and 80's game more than i like today's game. the NFL in 2011 is basically a Madden video game on the field. the rules changes have go too far in favor of offense. watch an Oilers vs. Steelers game from the late 70's and then compare it to a Indy vs. NE game from today... there's no doubt that the game from the 70's featured a more hard-nosed style of game where you had to earn your offensive yards. the Steelers vs. Ravens game yesterday was more of a throwback to the old days (and is an exception, not the rule), however it was ruined by the refs who think that the viewers tune in to see them. maybe i'm getting old, but i liked the NFL game i grew up with more than i like today's game.

now i have to go and yell at the kids playing on my lawn...

They had to change the game to cater to the casual fan. If it hadn't been for the short fields (very, very short fields) there'd have been very little scoring yesterday. Casual fans would've hated that. They want to see flash and sizzle.

Also, I kinda blame the commentators. Anytime you have two crappy Os, they call the game a defensive struggle. Yesterday was a defensive struggle. Two crappy Os being unable to move the ball does not necessarily make it a defensive game. Because those games are often boring and lame, fans get turned off by that kinda game.

I have no response for that one, I feel the same way about all players and coaches. Mularkey is a good overall coach, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Dimitroff make a play for Josh McDaniels.
