Let's say you suddenly found out due to freak circumstances you had to provide a crap load of Buffalo Wings for a party and had no time to grill them. Where would you go and which ones are the best buy?

Is there a buffalo wing factory in Denver? Just checked....that's a no. Please ignore this response as it only serves to boost my post count and is in no way helpful

Piper Inn

SECOND!

Piper Inn has no equal, unless you can make them at home. I have a great recipe for a jamaican jerk wing recipe, but it's down in Denver and not up here in Steamboat.

BWW easily, espcially over Hooters. Hooters, like mentioned, are no longer that good. Wingman are ok. I go to one on 104th, and I would choose either of the close to me BWW instead 9 times out of 10, the 1 time being only for convenience. i have not tried but have heard the wings are good at the new place, quaker steak and lube

i was gonna suggest soemthing like this, iknow all the grocery stores here have decent wings, at really good prices, where as you could pay almost 10 bucks a pound at a restaruant a grocery store would be about half that.

topps in buffalo has good ones, wegmans, are good but im not sure if any of these chains are in denver.

and hooters ? really ? even at 10 bucks all you can eat its not worth going to hooters for wings, they are just so bad, if they didnt do it on monday night during football season i would never go :~ohyah!:

I'm not driving to the Piper Inn. I live in Englewood. Between Wingman and BWW, which taste better?

You're definitely missing out. If you'd had their oriental hot wings, you'd be unafraid of the drive. If you're ever out that direction, make the stop.

Between those two, I'd take BWW. Lots of great sauce options, and the wings are pretty big and tasty.

I really like the boneless ones too.

If you are looking for just traditional buffalo flavor, I'd say wingman. If you're looking for multiple sauce choices I'd say Bww. If memory serves correct, wings are more expensive at BWW, but are also usually bigger wings.

As for the wings thing... dont take too long get fried wings to their destination. Cold wings suck and fried things never taste nearly as good reheated.

and also, depending on who's eating them, I'd recommend the parmesan garlic, asian zing, and medium for flavors. The medium and zing aren't really that hot, but very tasty. If you've got people who are going to be wanting hot, I'd go with either the mango jabenaro or just plain ol' hot. They're both pretty tasty.

Sounds like you're having a big party at your place for Auburn-Oregon. Don't forget the toilet paper (with Aloe) and matches. I'm assuming you're going hot, not mild.

Who ever said the local grocery store is right, I had some at a holiday party from our big chain here in Chicago (Jewel) and they were very good plus they had sample platters that had all kinds of options.

You should buy a new oven with a griddle top and a wing maker and do them yourself.

Willy's Wings. They're good (though I prefer Wing Stop personally), but they suck when you take them to go. They lose their crispiness and the sauce separates.

Bring the hot ones. Mild wings are for kids.

Anyone had safeway deli wings? Or KFC? Blasphemy I know but when you are desperate...

If not making homemade (which are best imo.. in peanut oil.. oh yea..), go to Grand Slam Cafe on Arapahoe and I-25. Those are imo, the best by far. Better than Piper Inn, or all the rest. Crispy on the outside, comes with a killer sauce.

KFC- Last time I ate those wings, I was throwing up the next two days afterward. :sickortir

I like wings from Outback Steakhouse. Different flavor than traditional, but great! BWW's good too.

Near DU... Greeks Gone Wild.

Actually I think those are still the best ones I've had in Denver.

I guess it's too late... So...

Some of the best wings ever are at Dicks Wings in Mayport Florida near Jacksonville. Great Navy hangout.
