I honestly think this is the "it just doesn't matter" game of the weekend. I don't see either of these teams making a run and both will probably be bounced by the end of next weekend. Frankly, would please me to no end. Can't stand either of them. Probably root for Indy for Coyer's sake. Despise the Jerks....oh Jets, and the media knob slobbers that come with the due to the NY thing.

What a snooze fest compaired to the Seachicken-Aints game....Yawn. Might just have to go make chili. Going to get a nice blast of freezing rain and snow starting tomorrow night. 4-6". You should see what it does to these poor folks down here. It would be funny if there weren't so many horrific accidents to go along with it. Semi full of bread, eggs and milk parked in front of Publix this evening and it was all going strait into carts and to the checkout as fast as they could unload it....hilarious. Hilarious! I'll be pulling volunteer shuttle duty at the Hospital ER running nurses and Doctors back and forth again, I guess.

I understand completely, I really do. Haven't forgotten the playoff stretch of beat downs we took at his hands. I just have a deeper seated spite for the East Coast Media establishment and the extent that they always pimp the NY teams as the most awesome thing ever, when most of it has more to do with sucking up to one of the largest media markets in the world than it does with actual analysis. Been going on my whole life with NY, as opposed to Indy. I can remember how they "earned" Paymeaton in the first place, plus they did give us John.:~ohyah!:

Pats, Pitts, and Bmore in that order, I think. I do believe that weather could have a huge impact on things. Injuries in the next two weeks could be huge as well. I don't think there is that big a gap between these three in a rotten weather game. Which is looking pretty likely at this point.

everyone in the world saw that second route coming. I'm sure the DB did too, but you still have to play the go. the point is there is no way in hell Marty would ever do that, and it almost looks like his kid deliberately did it twice just on that alone.

I was on some site last week reading some football expert's long winded essay explaining how the running game in the NFL is dead, or marginal at best.

That only applies to the regular season. Kind of like the overtime rules.

So if a guy tackles a DE on his way to the QB, or a player tackles someone by their facemask, should those calls be made? That push off was just as blatant a violation of the rules and had a huge impact on the result of the game.

IMO, let the guys play ball unless it is soooo bad you can't pass it up.

The worst call of the day I think goes to the no-call on roughing the kicker in the first game. Overall, I think it was good officiating from the standard we've come to expect.

The Jets beating the Colts isn't a big upset.

Not of the same proportions as the Seahawks, but to go out and beat Indy in their own backyard qualifies as an upset in my book. Not a big upset, but it is an upset...
I'm sure the betting line was close to the results, but still...

Not sure about the odds, but I figure Indy may have been favored by -3

Yep. Colts were favored by 1 point.

Ok. I thought that by playing at home, they would at least be favored by -3

The consensus though is that the Jets are a better team than the Colts.

I liked the match up.
I think we can all agree it was going to be a close one...
The Jets plays the Pats next week. Another big challenge for the Jets...

You think we got it bad. How about them Chargers fans

Drew Breez

Turner

Rodney Harrison

Junior Seau

LT

all players that went on to play very well for someone else with no compensation to the Chargers.

On the other hand how good must they draft?

I look forward to the thrashing the jets will get in foxboro next week

As sick as I am of hearing about the Jets, I'm sicker of hearing the gushing about the Pats.

peyton gump missing another chance at a SB in the "passing age"? good. the more peyton gump misses the big game without a super defense or a super team around him reminds the league and everyone what a superhuman job elway did in the '80s.

Funny because Broncos outplayed the jets and beat up on the hawks. Maybe the line between playoffs and crap not as big as we all think.

Seahawks fans were telling me all year that they have the talent, but they just haven't put it all together yet, and that if they could manage to get into the playoffs they'd be dangerous.

100% true, however a team like NE ascends just playoffs, they are downright nasty, and you will see it next week. really is no rival for them this year.

As sick as I am of hearing about the Jets, I'm sicker of hearing the gushing about the Pats.

At least we're spared another week of tripe about Manning/Brady. That story is older than funky socks.

BTW, Jets beating Colts an upset? Funny, the Jets didn't seem upset at all. Manning is a great qb, but he's completely overblow and overhyped. Playoff record? Standing at 9-10. The commentators told us fifty times "You don't want to leave time and give Peyton the ball." Yeah, we GET IT ALREADY.

I want the Seahawks to win the Superbowl, so heads can explode everywhere. Hilarious!

Get me the odds...I'm headed to Vegas and cashing out, baby.
