Fisher wins tug of war...

Orton destination?

Well, sanity from Bud Adams...who'da thunk it?

Sucks for us, but I guess Fischer wasn't on the Broncos radar anyways

They have one, not sure his name I think it is something like Cook

Edit: LOL, his name is Ford, DE

Not me, I had feeling that it was coming. Young never seem to get what it meant to have money and be a professional.

Wow. Young must really be nuts. I think his record as a starter is something like 39-19.

EDIT: 26-13. Something must be badly wrong for them to just cut him loose.

I hope not. Do we really want a bi-polar player behind Tebow?

I say give Young a very wide berth

Not sure about DT's but a nice LB in Stephen Tulloch or something like that.

I'm surprised by this, I thought for sure it would be Fisher that went.

I guess I'm surprised that Adams was willing to choose Fisher over Young. I think it's the right choice. But from the things Adams has said over the years, I sort of expected him to tell Fisher to make it work for another year.

With the labor uncertaintity, it makes sense that McNair keeps Fisher and dumps the head case.

Tebow would be a good influence on Young, and Young is easily influenced.

I think that he'd be a great player to come in and cover a couple of games in the system that they install here for Tebow.

I wouldnt want to overpay or cause trouble, but if it worked out it would be a good answer to the backup spot.

Nah, everything I've seen says that the owner is very invested in Fisher and that Young's an irredeemable dumbass. I don't like trading Orton for a LB though.

Young had too many 'Ricky Williams' moments. Too bad, very talented guy, could have done a lot in this league.

This doesn't help the market for Orton, it hurts it. I could see San Fran or Arizona being interested. Maybe even Washington, even though Shanahan puts a lot of stock in Jeff Fisher's judgments.

To have Young do what, exactly?

Jeff Fisher is a highly respected HC throughout the league. If he can't get along with Vince Young then everyone is going to see that as Young's problem, not Fisher's. Young will have to find himself a backup job he can prove himself in, no one is going to just hand an uncontested starting job to him.

AZ and SF might be interested in Young and Orton as a pair though, since Orton would be the solid vet to start and Young would be their high upside reclamation project.

Well damn!

I know I was in the minority, but I was hoping Fisher would find his way to Denver. He would have been my choice for a new HC.

the 'ol Tim Tebow argument. He wins. it's not every day a QB that was a top ten overall pick with a winning pro record hits the open market. it doesn't hurt that Orton costs a draft pick and 9 million dollars whereas Young costs a whole lot of jack ****.

The man is cancer in a locker room. Walking proof that "intangibles" are tangible.

I'd say it would have to be a player (defensive starter material) AND a draft pick to trade Orton. Minimum second round pick and we don't want VY. Maybe a Starter for D and a third for Orton as a combo.

But he doesn't win. Jeff Fisher wins and on occasion he's brought Young along for the ride. Their best year recently came with Kerry Collins behind center after replacing Young as the starter. Young hasn't been able to match that season. That says something other teams pick up on.

The Titans are 31-19 in games that Young has started since he's been there, and 14-16 when he hasn't.

He must be a real nightmare in the locker room.

I think this only helps us in our abilities to move Orton.

Teams like the Titans and Minnesota, who don't have bad rosters and can compete would rather (in my eyes) go for a guy like him than try out a rookie and see how it is.

I don't think we will get a second for Orton, but moving him for anything that is of value is better than keeping him around when he (A) Probably won't play or (B) Cutting him lose.

I know it makes sense, I just thought Adams would make the stupid move and keep the head case. I don't believe Fisher was EVER happy about taking Young, that was all Adams.

McNair? Some kind of freudian slip? I kid.

Good decision by the Titans.

Hard to see them going after Orton though, he did essentially call them a dirty team earlier this season.

I thought Titans were exploring options. That's what NFLN is reporting, anyway.

He definitely won't be there next year, but they're going to seek to trade him before they release him.

It's a team sport man. Spouting QB records is highly overrated. People did the same **** with Orton before he played his first game here. Now look at his amazing win/loss ratio as a starting QB. Just gander at Cutler in Chicago. Do you think he's the one that lead them to the playoffs? How about Rex when he was there? Titans have won on defense and a great running game. Someone like Orton is just who they need, if their OL can protect him good enough.

Yeah, it seems unlikely that they would release him out right. You would think Crazy Al, or a star hungry team like Buffalo would throw down a conditional 4th or a 5th round flier on him. He must really be bat s**t.

VY could still be a decent QB, could make a career for himself if he actually put some effort into it. Same could be said for Leinart.

Lord, that was a poor year for QB's at the top (with the exception of Cutler). The 2006 QB draft in order:
