From what I've gathered on the Browns situation, I see John Fox landing there as head coach with Mike McCoy as offensive coordinator

Doubt it. Wilford Brimly wants them running a west coast offense next year.

They can have him, I think we should throw in a ski vacation package to get him out of here faster.

Now that the Kansas City Chiefs' season is over, the team is strongly considering Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy as the replacement for Charlie Weis, according to sources.

Weis is leaving the Chiefs after one year as offensive coordinator to accept an identical assignment with the Florida Gators.

McCoy joined the Broncos in 2009 when Josh McDaniels was hired as head coach. McDaniels handled play-calling but McCoy assumed those duties when McDaniels was fired on Dec. 6. The playbook and terminology that was employed by McDaniels and McCoy is comparable to what the Chiefs have utilized since Todd Haley became coach in 2009.

McCoy was under contract with the Broncos through the 2010 season, sources said.

Prior to joining the Broncos, the 38-year-old McCoy was hired in 2000 by the Carolina Panthers and served in a variety of offensive assistant posts, including quarterbacks coach and passing coordinator.

Kansas City was eliminated from the AFC playoffs after a 30-7 to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in the wild-card round.

Why would they hire McCoy when they could hire the guy that drew up all his plays?

Hmm so if we get John Fox chances are McCoy stays, not saying thats great but he did work with Tebow all year and this would probably mean we keep the same offense in place, with a bit more running since John Fox loves to run but really I don't see this as a bad thing that we keep McDaniels playbook this way Tebow doesn't need to learn a new offense.

I guess Haley doesn't want to risk hiring his heir apparent, if as it certainly looks right now the Chiefs only won this year because they had the easiest schedule in the league and Cassel played mistake free, they could be in for a big drop, if that happens Haley is not going to want someone in the organization ready to take over for him.

The Panthers offense is still largely based around what Seifert brought there (he also hired McCoy on as an assistant) only more run heavy. So up until McCoy came here two years ago he worked exclusively in a west coast variant.

That would make him a very poor choice for KC in my opinion. With someone like Holmgren to help tutor him and Fox as the HC he could find a good match in Cleveland if that happens though.
