"I am still optimistic I can get something done here," Bailey said. "Obviously I don't hold all the cards in that situation. It's one of those things where I have to wait and see. If it happens it happens. If it's my last game, it's my last game."

I hope they can work it out. Champ is still better than 90% of the corners in the NFL!

Look at Houston last week to understand the danger of a young secondary. Champ stepped up, and played when many others were not playing.

The contract will be put back on the table after the new CBA is place.

Why so sad? Champ has lead us to the playoffs last when? 13 million cap hit this season can fill a few other positions of need on this team.

If we're serious in solidifying the front 7, and I hope we will, Champ will have a solid year. He's held up well this year, and I feel his cover skills were off-the-charts this year...

I hope so, because someone is going to have to replace Dawkins

I don't feel sorry for Champ at all. We should tag him to limit his movement. He's been well paid as a Bronco, and well taken care of.

A club can designate one franchise player or one transition player in any given year.

I'm with you.

I'd like him to stay, but I'd hate to see him walk for nothing.

I think Champ has another two years as a top 5-10 CB and then should be moved to FS. He has acknowledged that he is open to his contract reflecting that, and if that's the case it seems a total no brainer to me. I'm almost positive that his contract was pulled due to the pending lockout and I'm sure he is aware of that, or he wouldn't even bother to continue to talk like he wants to be back here more than anything else, while still trying to posture for leverage.
