Along with Kevin Vickerson (6'5" 330), Jamal Williams (6'3" 340), Justin Bannan (6'3' 315) the Broncos have added some beef this year. With some young studs in the draft we might actually have decent D-line next year

The guy has bounced around for 4yrs and only played in 5 games. But, he does have some talent and he's a NT. He's worth a look in the offseason.

He was my sixth round pick for the Broncos in the 2007 draft, IIRC.

He can't be any worse than Fields.

A little more info from Max.

GETTING TO KNOW LOUIS LEONARD: Denver added the ex-Patriots, Panthers and Browns defensive lineman to its roster Wednesday, filling the spot on the 53-man roster vacated when linebacker Lee Robinson was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Leonard might have more value to the Broncos if they convert to a 4-3 defense in the offseason. The Panthers had him pegged as a defensive tackle after trading for him late in the 2009 preseason, and inserted him into the starting lineup by Week 2 of that year at Atlanta. He turned in a solid game and appeared to be consolidating his place in the starting lineup before fracturing an ankle on the final defensive series, ending his season.

The four-year veteran wasn’t the same after the injury, and struggled in Carolina’s camp this season before being released before the end of September. This seemed a curious move, considering that the Panthers’ defensive-tackle cupboard this year was arguably the most bare in the league. Leonard eventually resurfaced with the Patriots before being released again.

The kid can play if he is recovered from his injury and has his head screwed on straight. Keeping him focused and on track will be the biggest hurdle to overcome. I watched him in college and when he comes to play he can dominate in the trenches. Hopefully he has matured and can be productive for the Broncos.

Yeah, I hate when teams bring guys in at the end of the season and look for a diamond in the rough without any future risk and only possible gain. Broncos really need to stop doing that.

Getting bigger defensive linemen isn't enough, as we could see this year. They actually have to be big and talented. We must draft at least 1 defensive linemen before round 2 is over, preferably 2 of them before the 3rd round is over.

100 perecent agreed! If we don't get a talented d-linemen in the first two rounds something is wrong! I saw grab peterson in the first, powe and a pass rusher with the two second round picks!
