"I think they'll certainly have tape on him now to have a game plan," Studesville said. "What they'll do differently ... we're going to do some things differently because we'll have more information on him too, now. So, how that all plays out I'm not exactly sure."

Sounds like a guy who had no idea that he'd be a head coach and had no plan. To be expected I suppose when you are a running backs coach, but it tells us that they're going to be winging it next week.
We'll see how good a coach Kubiak is, because he should be able to dictate the terms of the game to the Broncos.

Another interesting Studesville qoute from that article:
"Asked if team owner Pat Bowlen might have suggested the move to ensure there isn't a sea of empty seats at Invesco Field on Sunday, Studesville said he indeed met with the owner and chief operating officer Joe Ellis in the morning but that it was his decision alone. He said Bowlen and Ellis agreed with his call."

I found that a bit weird. Does he have no confidence or is the owner getting a bit meddlesome.

Well in this case it called for meddling. Starting Orton would have been a colossal fail.

The problem the Texans have is they don't put much pressure on the QB and they have a terrible secondary. This should play into the Broncos' hands.
Of course, if their offense shows up, it may take a lot of points to beat them.

With what the Raiders did to our defensive line, I imagine that we'll see a heavy dose of Arian Foster.
Hopefully the Broncos will open up the passing game for Tim, and will play him from the shotgun.

Sheesh, are you guys determined to find the cloud behind the silver lining?
Look at the full context of what Studesville said: ""What they'll do differently ... we're going to do some things differently because we'll have more information on him too, now. So, how that all plays out I'm not exactly sure."
Unless Studesville has a crystal ball, of course he doesn't know in advance what's going to happen when the Broncos' offensive adjustments meet the Texans' defensive adjustments. And then it's on to the next step (we hope) of adjusting the adjustments and so on. "No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy." Football isn't war, but the principle applies.
For the other, about Bowlen and Ellis agreeing with his call: I'd interpret that to mean Studesville decided to play Tebow again, but cleared his decision with the higher-ups. To me it just sounds like the coach playing "better safe than sorry." With all that's gone this year, that seems pretty smart to me.

Hard to criticize a guy with this much on his plate for a few mistakes in a press conference he didn't have time to prepare for; unless you have experience with this level of workplace responsibility yourself.

I dont know about others, but I wasnt criticizing him. I thought that it was a rare glimpse into the nuts and bolts of leadership at that level in the NFL. To me, it was more a criticism of Bowlenellis.

Studesville really needs to stop talking to the media or at least, stop saying "I don't know." It really makes him look bad, as the head coach. Your the interm head coach, people aren't expecting a lot from you, but STOP SAYING I DON'T KNOW. Got to work on those politician skills.
Man, I can't wait until we find out who the HC is going to be.

Sheesh...
Good post. People are a little over dramatic lately, but with the team flailing all over the place the way it is I guess it's somewhat understandable...
