Glad to see preferential treatment back at Dove Valley, Cox accused of rape and he's still on the squad but a PS scrub gets cut on a far lesser charge.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos have waived rookie linebacker Kevin Alexander hours after he was arrested on a domestic violence allegation.
Team spokesman Patrick Smyth said that although the team was aware of his arrest, Alexander's release was a football decision to clear a roster spot for cornerback Chevis Jackson.

Hmmm, losing season, a bunch of arrests and absentee ownership.
Our transformation into the Bengals is complete.

What the hell is going on in Denver? This team needs a major house cleaning. If Xanders sticks around I will have to say we are doomed and there is little hope. We need a real GM, a real coach, and some players who are better at football then they are at beating and raping women.
What a joke this team is.

I don't have any doubt this is true. Alexander was ineffective, and with Cox's whole situation in doubt, it makes plenty of sense to add depth at the corner. I doubt that Cox will be here next year either.
Note to women in the Denver area. If you get in a scary situation with a bronco defender at a nightclub or whatever, just tell them you are a running back. They won't touch you after that.

Jackson was drafted by the Falcons (3rd rounder 08) and spent his first couple of years there. He was briefly in Jacksonville. He was only with the Pats for 8 days.
As for why we are picking up fodder ... we suck, and other people's fodder is an upgrade for us.

Jackson is actually a good player. Doesn't have great speed, but has good ball skills and is a decent tackler from what I remember.

While I like Alexander's play and think CB is covered with Champ, Andre and Vaughn, I'm not surprised to see roster shuffling at the end of this season. Good to start looking at options for next season.
As to the charge; His girlfriend went psycho - he slapped her - she grabbed a knife - he went to jail for a night. Next time he should be smart and physically evict her from the premise. It's more effective, completely legal and gender-biased, domestic violence laws won't apply. If she tries to get back in, she can be arrested or he can take matters into his own hands spelled out in the Castle Doctrine and Make My Day Laws.

AURORA, Colo.—Assault and battery charges have been dropped against former Denver Broncos player Kevin Alexander.
Alexander's attorney, Harvey A. Steinberg, said the case was dropped Thursday morning for lack of evidence just before it was scheduled to go to trial in Aurora. City prosecutor George Koumantakis didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
Police arrested Alexander Dec. 20 after his girlfriend told police that he slapped or punched her, pushed her to the ground and grabbed her by the throat.
The 23-year-old Alexander signed with the Broncos in April as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson, and was cut from the team hours after his arrest. Broncos officials called it a football decision to clear a roster spot for cornerback Chevis Jackson

So the front office made character a priority and we end up with more players arrested in a single year than any other year I can remember? Well played.

Hope we see him again this preseason. He looked good at both OLB positions last summer.
