I really like Studs but you can tell by him talking he is looking for a game manager QB.
I'm sorry and I know I am not a coach but you can't use Tebow as a manager. If you do you get what you got today.
He would not talk about who was calling the run up the middle on 1st and QB options on third.
Over all I really like the guy but I hope we move forward with a coach that wants there QB to the captain of team. A guy how takes control and elevates the level of play. I saw Tebow doing that today and it felt really good.

A game manager QB seems like a misfit for the team the Broncos are right now. When you have a defense that will keep the opposition to less than 17 points a game, every game, a game manager QB can get you to the SB. However, our defense is constantly being abused. We need a QB that can make plays and sustain drives (3rd down).

He's in over his head. You listen to his interviews and I just don't see that he "gets it." He said the Cardinals game wasn't bad and Denver just beat themselves and they need to remember to not do that. He then said they aren't going to change anything they're doing. Ok....

This whole coaching staff are bums, plain and simple. I am super stoked though, I thought Tebow looked great, and that is with poor oline play, no RB, and relatively little talent at WR and TE, so I am pretty happy after yesterday.

The biggest mistake McDaniels made was bringing in these bums. Didn't have anyone to unload duties on. Whether that was McD being a micromanager or the ineptitude of the staff is unknown. My guess is a lot of both.

Yeah, his gameplan was pretty clueless. If we had a competent defense, the gameplan would have made sense. But we don't, so running the ball up the gut in the "I" formation all game long isn't going to cut it.

I'm so tired of this defense sucking.

It's sad when our offense is inspired by Army.

he's a running backs coach. on a team with sub-par running backs. nothing personal against the guy, but he's not even remotely ready to be a HC and i'm sure he knows it. the only thing he and the rest of the coaching staff care about right now is to keep the boat afloat until the end of the season. as long as they do all of the conventional things (even while losing), they'll be able to interview elsewhere and blame their futility in Denver on McD and the turmoil surrounding his firing. they are not coaching to save their jobs at this point, they are coaching so as not to close the door on future interviews with other teams. that means being conventional and conservative and not doing anything that will raise an eyebrow anywhere else.

Its been said several times, so theres really no need to beat a dead horse.
I really respect Studesville and hope he makes the best of his time, but he isn't ready for the big game yet. The sad fact was that when McD was released, we didn't even have a competent coordinator to step up and take the job.
When is the last time you ever heard of a positional coach get the interim job over both the OC annd DC?
At least McCoy is malleable enough to listen to advice about changes in gameplan. We do need to take advantage of Tebow in space with a few bootlegs. Once we hold that backside end, it could open some things up. Did anyone else wonder what things could have been like yyesterday if we had a pass catching Tight Ennd?

The thing is that there was NO one on the staff that was qualified to be a HC, including the HC when McD was here. Canning him during the season made no sense, the only thing it did was allow them to procede with interviewing coaches who aren't coaching before the end of the season.

It would have been better if they actually DID run the ball up the guy. They kept trying to get to the edge with Ball against one of the fastest defenses in the league. How many times did they need to try that before they figured out that Ball can't beat the Raiders LBs to the edge and turn the corner?

Ball finished with 20 yards on 15 carries, so the answer to your question is that it took a MINIMUM of 15 plays until they figured this out. if you subtract his longest run (8 yards), that's 12 yards on 14 carries. ouch!

A couple more times I guess. The law of averages says one will bust wide open eventually!
