Surprised by this effort. Not the kind of effort I would have expected to see from a team happy their head coach was fired. They couldn't look any more flat.

Kind of looks like a bunch of guys who will be out of the league next year.

Which one of these starters are "out of the league" next season?

I'll bet that we have more from this roster out of the league next year as we had during the transition from 2008 to 2009. Three hundred bucks to the charity of the winner's choice. Has to be an actual charity.

Obviously offense was going to stuck. The guy who made Orton and Lloyd got canned. Not saying we shouldn't have fired him only that the offense was his baby.

The special teams getting fooled again is funny though. We need some help there in a big big way.

the only way this gets worse:

1. Tebow gets his chance to start and is horrible, showing no promise at all.

2. Cutler somehow lucks his way into a Super Bowl.

Shy of that, it can't get any worse.

Tjesse glad I missed this one, just tuning in after the final gun. So much for the Studesfield era :-\...

Wink will be selling burgers by this time in January. the whole secondary is back up/scrubs.

Orton is falling down as he just cant adapt to the blitz and make the other team pay for it.

But this was/is a watershed week for the team, a decimated secondary and alot of uncertainty all around. PLaying for picks now .. more or less shooting for 3-13 as an asset now.

Will be an interesting offseason seeing the new coaching staff and roster moves with better luck next year.

At this point dont even know if I would put Tebow in. He can use the experience but with the over all offense and apparent lack of creative adjustment from teh coaches and the fact that at least half the players seem to have mailed it in already, I wouldnt want to see Tims first starts marred by lack luster effort everywhere else.

The press would put it all on him in any event.. Perhaps its better now to just reload and see how he can work out in the new year?

I don't think you have watched many games without your Josh glasses on. What do you see from this team that you can hang your hat on. Come on, go on the record and tell all us fools where you see difference makers anywhere on this team.

Yeah, because the wins are coming without him. I didn't care that he was traded, but what have they done without him? Oh, the worst losing streak in franchise history. I guess you have no f**king point.

There was a big deal made of the roster turnover this year. Specifically the number of guys who were on the 08 roster who were out of the league starting this year. So it was really an entire season plus two complete off seasons. But however you want to compare it -- I'm talking about the 53 man squad -- over a comparable amount of time.

I'm talking about starting football players, not special teams guys. (Though, you'd probably lose that bet, too.)

We're comparing apples to apples, right?

The 22 guys we're suiting up in starting roles right now, including those active but injured... v. the 22 starters that finished the 08 season as starters, right? Out of the league, right?

That's the bet?

$300?

I wouldn't take that bet. Our defense alone in 2008 could easily win that bet for Popps. Champ, DJ, Dumerville...I can't think of anybody else, starter or backup, that we retained from that defense. Oh, Marcus Thomas.

Hmm, I guess 3-10 is better than 8-8. I would love to use that kind of math when I balance my checkbook. I'd always have money according to you.
