Bowlen is just relaying to John that after spending almost 2 years with Josh, he's found out that he has a nasty rash and itch.

Yes please. Bring some legitimacy to the brand. He'll probably just be put into a meaningless front office role if anything, but his presence in team HQ would be a positive.

He won't be a GM. But he'll find us a GM if he gets the job.

It's hard to say no to arguably the best QB to ever play the game.

Well he might be but he would probably bring somebody in to find the talent. Delegate the task. I believe he said so himself that he wasn't qualified to look for the talent but he could find a guy who could do that for us.

Pretty much this. I don't get the POV where people say Pat should pigeon hole Elway into this title or that......If you're going to bring him on, let him write his own job description.

Isn't that pretty much what he did with Josh? And Josh had more coaching experience that Elway has GM experience.

I'm all for bringing him on board, but this thing could spin totally out of control if you start making you decisions based totally on emotion and sentiment.

I liked Elway's last interview on Friday. He was plenty aware he was not able to pick players or be a regular gm. He understands it is an art that experienced scouts only have. But he thought he could find the guys that could find the players.

That's the crux of it right there. Whether or not any of this leads to Elway in an official role or not, tonight could very well be a case of....

Exactly what I was referring to in my above post.

I pissed all over the idea yesterday but things have obviously changed.

My first choice is to just go all in with Tebow & a Tebow friendly coach and let the chips fall where they may.

However, if that's not going to happen.....I'd be down for a total 180 on everything.

The last thing I want is for a new coach to be wishy washy about it...."We're excited about the 3 QB's on staff....blah, blah, blah...Camp will tell alot...blah,blah, blah...open competiton, blah, blah, blah" **** that.

Just go all in with Tebow and start him next year with Quinn as a back up or go all out and let a new QBOTF compete with Quinn and Quinn alone.

You guys that want Luck so bad, you willing to mortgage the entire draft plus part of the next draft to move up the 3-6 spots we're going to have to in order to get him? That means absolutely no additional defensive talent in the draft this year. Is that worth it?

And that's all assuming Luck comes out which seems unlikely.

No I wasn't, but putting an entire draft into one player, on a team with as many holes as this one, is simply retarded.

Lighten up. It was BRONCO FANS that made up the nickname "Denver Donkeys". It really is too bad that some Bronco fans forget this. It represents a willingness to be critical of your own team, to avoid being a homer, that used to be commonplace.

I want to make it very clear that this option is a very distant third choice for me...And only if Harbaugh is the hire.

A) Gruden or other Tebow friendly coach who has the balls to start him and stay with him for the entire year and let the chips fall where they may. Trade Orton, Quinn #2. Draft nothing but D.

B) Frazier or Fisher defensive type (assuming they are not retained), draft nothing but D. Guys like this would probably hedge their bets and keep Orton for a true QB competition with Tebow next summer with the understanding that Bowlen will let them take their shot at QBOTF (if needed) in year 2 or 3.

C) Blow it all up and promise Harbaugh he can do what it takes to get Luck if he wants him. Trade Orton AND Tebow for whatever you can get and use the extra picks to move up. I want Denver to win their next 4 games, but this scenario becomes easier if they don't. Draft all defense after that and let Luck & Quinn battle it out, it's going to be another throw-away year regardless. Bowlen has an easy out here if he wants it. Denver would be a laughing stock for moving up for Tebow and then trading him for less before he played much but all of that egg would be on McD's face.

Again......Option C is a distant 3rd in my mind and I was totally against it yesterday, but I wouldn't be pissed about it now that McD is gone.
