He came in on short notice and played some great football today. He had a few mistakes, including the penalty, but the kid really flew around the field and made some huge hits. Almost reminded me of another short squat MLB we used to have around here at times. Great game Joe!

Joe did this every game for the Bison at NDSU. He is a stud and a great person to boot. Favorite player on my college team, now he is on my favorite NFL team. Wee!

Loved his effort today. Adds a level of physicality to the LB corps.

Mike Tyson had a great game and that Personal Foul was borderline as he was protecting his player. It was warranted but at least it wasn't completely pointless. Great game Iron Mike!

He knocked Moleaki out on the onside kick. He tried to get up but then fell down and had to be helped up by one of the Chump's coaches. It was glorious.

I love having guy willing to knock people the fvck out every play. Adds intimidation and intensity to our defense.

I like the line up we had Haggan is much better on the outside than inside. Mays looked like a solid ILB today.

2nd on the team in tackles today, Champ led in tackles.

I'd agree with ya there, even with Ayers coming back. Haggan, DJ, Mays, Ayers seems like the best fit. Haggan's pash rush and ability to set the edge is much more apparent than when he's inside.

He should expect a fine coming for either that hit or the penalty on Charles. He plays with a lot of intensity, but he needs to be careful bc he can really hurt someone.

That was a great game by Joe.

I didn't mind the penalties so much. That comes when you play hard football like that. Sends a message.

I'll take this kind of performance every week please. :super:

Mays was a bright spot in a couple of our losses, too. He runs hot and cold and he made some mistakes, which I''ll chalk up to inexperience. Still... I think we have a keeper and a solid starting ILB.

Actually he appeared to be on sideline most of it from what i could tell on TV. He must not be part of the prevent (cause you got a big ass lead) packages.

I would like to see the rotation come back with Ayers and Woodyards return. Send Hunter to the bench. Keep Ayers and Haggan outside, and rotate Woodyard and Mays with DJ.

That first penalty on Mays was just a bad call in my opinion. It appeared that the ball was out (it should have been ruled a fumble FWIW) and he was just laying down a block. It wasn't particularly physical... it wasn't "unnecessary" really.

I do think he'll tone it down. He was clearly playing with some adrenaline yesterday.

Joe does indeed struggle in coverage, has been an issue since college, however he is good two down thumper and lays the wood. You could hear his cracks on players outside the Fargodome back in his Bison days. Just a heavy hitter. Steve Atwater would be proud. :)

Would have been real unfortunate if he was knocked on his ass right around that time, huh?

KC lined up in an illegal formation. Bitch Haley tried to make the refs look at the photographs but he was still wrong. He cried about it for a while.
