LOL So rather than a punter, kickoff specialist, etc, their best kicker is a 300lb DT?

How does a team find that out? Do they actually try everyone else at K?

Well after seeing that don't be surprised to see Big Jamal start to kick if anything ever happens to Prater.

Man, he knows how to make that first ZBS cut and then he's shifty/quick enough to make the next guy miss. Looks like a perfect ZBS back.

Yep, makes up for the bogus PI they called against us that led to a TD.

Chargers win with no Gates, No Floyd, No Buster Davis, no Naanee no Dielman, Mathews left game gimping. Rivers is a stud and looks like we have a find at WR in Rookie Seyi Ajirotutu.

The injury to Mike Vick might have been the best thing for his career. For the first time ever in my life, I'm a big Vick fan now. He's throwing better, running well still, but not afraid to go down or out of bounds to avoid the big hit. My problem with him before was he made stupid decisions and when he got himself hurt, his team suffered hugely.

He's made amazing growth as an Eagle.

The high snap broke the timing.

Plus, Vick didn't really get it there quickly.

Bad play all around.

Crazy thing is that was actually a catch and fumble!

Goobzilla
11-07-2010, 03:36 PM
Absolutely. I'm sorry he got hurt, but that's football. Now we're penalizing and fining based on how bad someone gets injured and not the actual infraction. That was a catch and fumble.

BS flag on hit.

Why don't they just have two hand touch?

The player headhunted Collie.

Collie is still out and being placed on a stretcher.

Classless Philly fans continue to create new crowd behavioral lows by booing Collie while watching replays of the hit on the jumbotron.

There are things that are more important than their stupid loser team.

Pathetic losers.

It may not have been spearing, but the DB hit Collie's head with his shoulder pad while he was 'defenseless'.

Its time to remove that stuff from the game. Head injuries are real and ruin lives. Those plays trickle down into the amateur game as well and should not be encouraged.

I didn't see it that way at all. We kept watching the play and it didn't look like head hunting to me. I believe the boos were for the call, not Collie. I just hope Collie is ok and he was just out.

As they stated numerous times, he has two feet down and had already braced for the hit.

And the fans were surely booing the scenario more than they were booing the injured guy. Lay off the dramatics, man.

And I agree with the others, catch and fumble that someone got injured on so they went the sympathy route. The facemask, however, was 100% legit. Anyone doubting that is silly.

Dude your delusional on this one but i still love ya LOL ...

You have to realize that the person being hit also controls some of this when he changes his pad level to prep for the hit ...

A Db could be not even close to shoulder or head first hit and then the wr or whatever clinches up or sets up for the hit changing where he would have been hit ie his pad level ...

I think head hunting has 0 place in the game but that hit was super vanilla.

But as far as the hit on Collie that was totally legal and not even close to what the NFL is trying to remove.

This is over on PFT:

Asked about his ability to deal with the controversy and stress of the past week, Childress said this, according to Darren Wolfson of 5 Eyewitness News in the Twin Cities.

"I'm not gonna be here and be like Favre and tell you that I need a hug," Childress said. "I'll be all right."

Awesomeness! Childress must be tired of working.

Booing the call while Collie is on the field is classless. As is booing him while he's being stretchered off.

Just because there's nowhere better to put this, they reported after the late game that Stafford reinjured that same shoulder. This time they'll be turning to Drew Stanton. Their backup before (name slips my mind) was playing pretty well but they don't quite have the D and run game to just stop throwing the ball.

It'll be interesting to see if they can overcome. Sad about Stafford.
