Filed to NFL net Moss waived

Childress told the team in meeting they waived Moss as Moss did not go back with the team to Minnesota. Moss was not in the meeting.

The Pats have 2 picks in each of the first 3 rounds next year. No doubt they will trade some of them once again to get 2012 picks. Draft day for a Pats fan is like heaven every year.

Why is Moss subject to waivers? I thought it was only for guys with 4 or fewer seasons in the league.

Never mind. Found it in the fine print. 5+ year vets are also subject to the waiver process if they're "waived" after the trade deadline.

Because there's not really an active CBA? I don't know really. That's a good question.

then why not simplify it and get production ..... like hillis in cleveland.

He's getting ripped to shreds on every NFL show on TV. They're saying ownership didn't even know this was going on, but that he had that privilege written into his contract. (Personnel control.)

Sign him and set up a trade that sends Moss back to NE for Logan Mankins. Bing, bang boom. This assumes a CBA gets done blah blah blah. But all things being equal we don't need a WR. We desperately need an OL. Let's make this happen.

Obviously he'll have to do his time here for the rest of the year but he gets his wish in 8 weeks or whatever. If he doesn't like it he can eat it and pray he can wade through the other 20 some odd teams. At least in Denver he knows McKid, he knows McKid has access to Belichick's red phone number and he'd just have to play out the rest of the season on a club that logs more air miles per game than Delta which gives him ample opportunity to showcase his skills during the requisite "Moss is a mess time to resurrect public perception of Moss's diminishing skills by putting up some numbers". Only this year he gets to do it for 8 games instead of 16.

Initially I thought we could start by offering a 4th for Mankins but I remembered we gave that up for Boney Maroney...who is now hocking cell phones at a kiosk at Cherry Creek Mall.
