The O looks that way for one reason: the running game. We're actually 50:50 run/pass right now. 11 runs and 11 passes. When was the last time we had that kind of balanced play-calling?

From what I've read, Singletary doesn't have a clue when it comes to calling plays -- relies on his coordinators on both sides of the ball. Even worse, he tends to choke on game management, which is the only thing on his plate during a game....

Ugh this is hard to watch. We have a serious lack of talent in the trenches right now on both sides of the ball. Assuming there is a 2011 season, we need to draft or acquire a via free agency veterans that can at least compete at RT, LG, and RG (I like Kuper, but I no longer have confidence in him either.)

McDaniels seems to have tried to scale back the offense and at least he's trying to run the ball. Untimely penalties and poor field position aren't helping things. I thought he'd at least have tried to get a one-on-one matchup with Thomas on the outside and take a shot. The Niners have completely taken away the smoke screens in this game.

Defensively, short of allowing Frank Gore to get his yards, we're not playing badly considering the injuries. Ayers, Doom, Champ, Goodman, and D.J. are all NFL starters, the rest these guys would be rotational players at best.
