Man o man. My halloween was pretty funny in similarity to that cartoon. Went to a halloween party tonight, went to my 8 year old and 5 year old, asked if they wanted to go trick or treating, my 5 year old says yes, 8 year old says no. 2 more times I asked if he wanted to go and he kept saying no. Not gonna force him. So took my 5 year old, he is excited as all get out, running from house to house, even twists his ankle. But boy that injury not gonna slow him down. Walks it off, keeps going.
So once we get done we are driving home, all of a sudden my 8 year old wants my 5 year old to "shaaaaaare." I said "lil spdirty, you DO NOT have to share with your brother if you don't want to." My 8 year old gets into his lil whine, I asked him "Why wouldn't you go???" He said "cuz I don't like walking!" I said "Well then, don't expect to get any candy. All you can get is what he decides to give you, if he decides to give you any at all." Then my 8 year old went into his stupid "Its not fair" mode. I asked "why isn't it fair?" He said "cuz he got candy and i didn't." I said "Well lil spdirty worked for his candy. You just expected it to be handed to you. The truth is, if I force lil spdirty to give you candy then thats not fair to him." Then he went into his lil whine till I threatened to spank him. But, my 5 year old decided to give him some even though he didn't have to. Charity if you want to call it that. Damn good kid. Have a lot of work to do with my 8 year old though, if I want to keep him from becoming a liberal.
Well, they're both good kids. But my 8 year old has a real bad attitude sometimes.

Great job parenting man. We don't need any more liberals and besides, you want him living with you until he's 30? LOL

;D yeah wouldnt make him share either , but I never had that problem , but one problem I did have was my 16 year old ( around 9 years old ) sneaking a Halloween mask to sunday school and terrorizing the other kids ...... but my kids are very much into Halloween.... ;-)

Well, I saw my first "Trunk or Treat", it's where everyone parks their cars in a big school parking lot and opens the trunks or hatchbacks and the kids walk from car to car getting treats. I guess it's a lot safer but what a bunch of lazy bastards we have become.........
