Those of you that have doubted our loyalty, intelligence, etc when we questioned McD please report here for your serving of crow.

Note...this isn't gloating. I would prefer to be wrong on this, but results indicate otherwise.

I am bitter....however, if you would have told me 20 years ago, Denver would not have only 1 won SB but 2, I would have been happy.

I do like McDaniel's and do not like some of the things he has done. However, it's hard to win without Doom, Ayers, Dawk, and an injured line. I am upset more backups were not sought for the line to help with C, RG, RT....

Unless this team wins 3 games this year, I still want him as the coach.

It's one thing to question a coach after 2-3 years but some of you were bitching about him before he even started. Bitterness over losing Shanahan doesn't count as being right if the McDaniels experiment fails.

I wish I had some crow to eat, I didn't like the hire of McDaniels. I have had many a douchbag give me crap for it, but I think it's slowly becoming clear. It would have been so much better to be wrong, so much more enjoyable. Damn you McDaniels!

Nonsense.. it's the players / injuries / phases of the moon / Cutler's dog's fault. Obviously it's not McD's fault. He is the CHOSEN ONE.

My bitterness wasn't over Shanahan leaving. It was over the selection of McD and pretty much everything he has done since he got here.

Its looking like a failure as of now.

I'm most upset with Bowlen, who has sold us all a bunch of rotten fruit. He should be giving everyone who bought a ticket to that disaster their money back. I'm not kidding. If I lived in Denver, I would likely have season tickets if they were available.

Bowlen would get a nasty letter from me tomorrow.

Fixed it for you

Except it was ironically Josh who said: Cutler.. you are the MAN! And then.. *poof*.. he is gone. Then he said.. "Orton.. you ARE the man!!" And then *poof*.. he recruits TWO QBs - spending picks to get one.. who he has used TERRIBLY (or as in the case today, not at all, except for a couple pathetic college-level plays).. because obviously, he knows what he is doing, right?

I could care less about Tebow. He hasn't proven squat. I've actually been moderately pleased with Orton's improvements. He has made strides. But it hardly matters, since BOTH lines suck, our running game is non-existent, our players are not conditioned properly and are dropping like flies.. there is very little to be impressed with.

But whatever.. we'll hear some fans defending him even if we don't win another game. "Give him 2 more years!" Screw that.. give me a HC that doesn't SUCK!

yes it is a sad thread, but not nearly as sad as the state of this franchise.

On this board you can't make statements like this without getting attacked.

I can't say I was against Mcdaniels because I wasn't. I actually said on here I wanted him before we did it. I see now that a coach in the NFL has to be more then offensively creative. He has to have a network of coaches who he has worked with, guys he can trust, guys with proven records etc etc. Mcdaniels simply wasn't ready to coach the big chair.

At this point Bowlen should start making a list, quietly hopefully. Wade Phillips gets fired I would try and hire him to run the defense. In a second I would. He has roots here and wont be getting a head coaching job. WHo could be HC? I have no idea. Man Broncos in dire straights. I don't blame you all for wanting to believe this is going to work out.

The alternative is starting over and maybe having to wait 2, even 3 more yr to see Broncos in the playoffs again.

You think the Broncos will make it to the playoffs under McDaniels? I don't, so we might as well restart now.

I was drinkin' it up at 6-0 last year. My how things have fallen since that win in San Diego. Everything that could be used to justify firing Shanahan has only become worse since McDaniels took over. The late season collapse after a strong start, the humiliating losses at home to division rivals. And it's all justification for McD to suffer the same fate.

Ive said before that my first choice would have been to give Shanny 1 more year. Lets not forget Shanny has already matched the Skins win total from last year, and they are in position to compete for the NFC East.

I wanted Spag first, a guy who has his team in the right direction, Ryan second, a guy who took an 8-8 team (remember who was also 8-8 that year?) and is now in Super Bowl contention, and Frazier 3rd, a guy who wanted to fix the defense and let Bates and Dennison run the offense.

I wanted no part of McDaniels, and it gives me no joy to see the team in this state. 1 year ago I happily ate my crow when we were 6-0. Now I just want a coach that will give me a feeling of competence at Dove Valley. A coach that will present on field evidence that this team is headed in the right direction. If McD can turn this thing around the rest of the year, and pull what Fisher pulled last year then great. That buys him another year.

But like Ive said in a couple other threads, there is no evidence that this team is headed in the right direction, and today was the biggest indictment of Mcd yet. And I like most of the Broncos faithful, have no faith in this coaching staff and/or front office.

I feel like we are being run by a Matt Millen clone right now.

The people asking for crow fall under two categories.

1. Scorned lovers of Jay Cutler who never got over the trade. But they don't realize they're wrong because regardless of how the McDaniels tenure turns out the Broncos are further along not having to waste not one or two years, but probably five years on a douchebag 'franchise' QB who can't play.

And 2. Those who are irrational to begin with and called for promising coach's head before it was warranted. Enjoy the next season and a half complaining or backtracking and being miserable.

Congratulations. Since today you won your Super Bowl, you're all still all stupid, irrational, assholes who have no idea what you're talking about.

DL isn't working out. Doom and maybe our best player this year Ayers out. This D needed plenty of work 100% healthy so how is losing your few best players on D going to avoid games like this its not reality check.

The overall effort was pathetic today. Heard on CBS4 players were miffed at McD's this week working them too hard they didn't think it was fair. I wonder if Champ will want to move on if season gets really ugly this year.

If I'm Champ I see no reason to want to come back to this team. He wants to win a SB before his career really goes down hill. And this team is not close to getting that goal.

If you are a top 10 CB in the league and your primary goal is to win the SB, since you have tons on money in the bank, you honestly would consider coming back to a team like this? As a fan sure I want it, but as a player I would say hell no.

Every single team in this league is one year away from a Super Bowl. Yeah, we could do it next year. Will we? Odds are no, but the odds aren't good for any team out there. Look at the Vikings, Saints, Cowboys.... it's an uncertain league. Hell, Randy Moss went to the Patriots to win... how'd that turn out for him?

Something happened to those players between this week and last week that's for sure.

The came out with no intensity and no energy. They were just going through the motions.

Question is what happened to them.

There is a lot of leadership missing from the field and a lot of starters on D missing.

Dawkins

Doom

Ayers

Goodman

Cox

McBath

That's six major or signifiant contributors missing.

Or could it be the bolded part of NFL's post that is the problem?

We will know in the weeks to come by the way the team plays going forward.
