Why did we draft him again?

I mean, if a 59 point blowout with no hope of a win isn't a reason to give him experience, what is?

Because McDaniels is a cocky piece of ****

Completely agree, disappointed that we didn't get to see any Tebow in a blowout of NFL history book proportions.

agree...just saying.

a poster in another thread thought it would be terrible if Tebow had a season ending injury in this game...wow, then I guess we better never play him...lol

Yeah, really frustrated we didn't throw him in when we're playing a game where the RAIDERS are giving us mercy by sticking to the ground game with backup players in the 4th.

Seriously on both counts. We are clearly in major rebuilding mold. I would start piling up early pics for next year. Wonder if we could get a 1st for Orton. Two 1sts, two 2nds, Doom and Ayers back, Clady healthy, Walton and Beadles with some experience. Just thinking... Not getting Tebow some real game experience playing a true quarterback position is just idiotic.

No way, he's to valuable to risk getting him hurt behind this pathetic line in a no win game.

Everyone knows he's not a real football player, even if our lack of running game and adorable little coach sometimes makes him look like one.

Same reason why he refused to play Hillis last year.
If Tebow goes in, he'll play good and the last thing Mcdaniels wants right now is people questionuing why isn't Tebow playing QB for us.
Think about it. We have a young immature headcoach.
I hate we're seen like the newest laughing stock of the NFL

Fire Mcdaniels!!!

Josh is right. This is not time for Tebow.

He's clearly a ZBS type runner and there's no room for that type of nonsense with our power running game doing so well.

It's becoming apparent that McDaniels didn't draft Tebow to play QB, only to come in and run gadget/gimmick plays to make up for this piss poor running game.

Well, maybe he succeeded in jacking up his trade value. Maybe someone will bite. Pretty sad when you are looking ahead to next year in week 7 and, even then, there is a lockout looming. Fuuuuuck!

This is complete BULL****.

What experience do you think he's really going to get coming in during a complete and utter blowout when the offensive line is Swiss cheese.

My God, think for more than 2 ****ing seconds.

I'm guessing McDaniels saw it as a glorified practice, at a certain point. Keep your starters in there and get them reps for next week.

Whatever.. they are not wielding chainsaws for cripes sake. He might get a couple hits, but I HOPE he can handle it. He should have been brought in, in the third quarter. Just more stupidity from McD.

No, I think he wanted them to have to play out in front of the fans carrying the burden of their failure until the final whistle.

He didnt want to let them off the hook.

I agree with not playing him. The O-line is garbage, and the kid will hurt himself in a losing effort out there.

But with this season all but lost, we but start seeing a real rotation for him, or McDaniels will truly prove how unready he is.

Maybe. I also noticed we were starting almost every drive in the 4th quarter buried behind our own 20. I can understand a coach being hesitant to throw the rookie out there then, especially with the generally ugly atmosphere.

Also, when you're flirting with giving up an NFL record amount of points I wonder if it is in the back of his mind to not want to raise the risk of a turnover?

Umm... huh?

You thought he'd bench a league-leading QB by mid-season to start a guy clearly identified as a 2-3 year project?

Then again, you're the same guy who told us how great Cutler was from day one.

You should go ahead and just leave the QB analysis to someone else, if not the football analysis in general.

That's what I thought. Bringing Tebow in would have given Raiders a new bulls eye on someone to hurt. You know they'd go all out after him if he were brought in.

Now Brady Quinn?

I'm waiting for an answer on that.

I'd like to see Tebow worked in more, I'm still not convinced Orton is any kind of rock this team can rely on in the future.

Yeah I know we have our shortcomings elsewhere but and I'll get reactionary posts to mine saying the line sucks running game sucks etc... (which is true). But this is a QB driven offense and the 3rd consecutive week that Orton has been bad when the game was in hand. Go back even further and the Colts game netted 13 points and we stunk it up against Jax. I was happy with his performance against Seattle and Tennessee but that's it (coincidentally the only times we've won).

Bahh... we're so bad in so many places. Still, our "great passing yardage" stat is so damn misleading, we're not getting great play anywhere. I'm not advocating Tebow as a full time starter but I'd like to see him worked in more.

this.

That being said, the last game and this game, Orton has looked decidedly less then the superman he was early in the season. Teams have learned that if they neutralize Lloyd, Orton can't do ****.

What is the point of putting in Tebow in a blowout where the DL knows he will get be passing? I don't see how that helps Tebow's development.

Because Josh McDonkey is one of the dumbest people on the face of the planet. 3 players for a player that wasn't projected to even go in the first 2 rounds! How can you expect anything else... Then on top of that he got rid of Cutler and Marshall???

Ironically, as bad as they **** the bed today across the board... Cutler's Screw ups in Chicago STILL make Josh look like a Boy Genius and Bowlen the Wise Owner for not allowing that punk to force the team to bend over backwards just to keep his sorry arse.

Granted, a win today would have made it more fun to emphasize that reality .. but its true nonetheless. So glad we're not stuck with Mr. INT for 5 more years.

I don't know if Tebow should've played today or not with a team that gave up in the first quarter.

But as the losses mount, I've been an Orton fan, its obvious this team is not going anywhere this year; I think a loss next week will turn the pressure up. The bye week is around the corner and ideal to make a change then.
