Offense isn't sharp, but the two turnovers in two plays was kind of a fluke IMO. The defense getting ripped apart is what gives me no confidence in our comeback chances.

I agree. Some of this is fluky. The fumble, etc. But, we sure look ready to lay down.

This is hard to figure. Weird, fluke starts can happen. But, the air sure seems out of us already.

I'm not one to give up, but this might be the worst start I've ever seen as a fan. Not drama, just the truth.

Orton was pretty pissed after that last series.

I think everyone is in shock.

This game had me worried coming in. I just think we let our guards down against marginal teams and play stronger against better teams. Not sure why, but that's the case.

Oakland has talent, they just haven't executed this year. I said this week that we had to get off to a fast start so we wouldn't get them in spoiler mode. We did just the opposite.

The defense just has no playmakers other than Bailey, and teams aren't going to go his way often anyway. This has been a problem for many years. Whlo is getting the big sack, make the big tackle for a loss, or cause the big turnover when they need it? There only 2 guys who can do any of that at all are well past 30, Champ and Dawkins. It's been many years since I felt the Bronco defense could clamp down on pretty much any offense.

For the record I don't think McDaniels should be fired. We have to wait and see what happens after his first three seasons.

But yeah, I hear you. When you fail to upgrade the trenches this is what happens.

We can trade a 4th for a worthless RB (+6th) but no one thought to trade/sign a veteran center or LG.

It's currently 38-0 and we're close to experiencing our worst beat down by Oakland, at home since Wade Phillips' final year in 94' when they hung 48 pts on us. I still remember watching that game and the feelings I had... how disgusted i felt. We've almost given that up in the 1st half.

Agreed. I'm as pissed off at that touchdown celebration as I am with the beatdown we're getting. Seriously, under the circumstances, you just hand the ball to the ref and get your ass back to the sideline. What a joke...

Wrong. I normally show up on Sunday's during chat. I could sit here and post on the weekdays but i found it an incredible waste of my time to argue with idiots who say how great McDaniels is. The proof is in the pudding and this weekend is more of that final product. How does this $hit-burger taste?

McD's in over his head. He's too inexperienced and arrogant to be a successful coach in this league right now. Ultimately, it's the fans cross to bare. We're possibly seeing the worst beat-down that's ever been handed to Denver at home, to our hated rival.

All Bronco fans should be shocked and embarrassed right now, and hopefully most start questioning the pathetic leadership we have for this team right now. It truly is god-awful.

I hate to say it but the Raiders have bigger stronger faster players than we do.

Like who? Velldoor? Their backup center playing at Tackle then Center? Cooper Carlisle at RG? Mario Henderson at LT?

They had Zach Miller at tackle for that last drive before the half.

Gimme a break. They're only doing what we used to do with our OL and that's coach them up, and let them run a zone blocking system maximising their lateral quickness, agility and technique.

Looks like the joke's on us.

I like McDaniels but I don't know if he will fall prey to the failure so many first time head coaches do. Remember Belichek's first time in Cleveland. I would like to see a coach like Parcells who comes in and makes everyone accountable from the day he walks in the door and doesn't hesitate to kick someone's rear end. He also gets his teams performing fundamental football starting in the trenches. Obviously, this is more a reflection and a wish not asking for McD's head. When I see a team perform like this, they are not even performing the basics correctly.

I'm not surprised the two biggest apologists started this thread and jerked each other over the first 5-10 posts. NO SURPRISE at all!

McD's in over his head. He may eventually be a good coach. Probably not happening in Denver though.

It's currently 38-0 and we're close to experiencing our worst beat down by Oakland, at home since Wade Phillips' final year in 94' when they hung 48 pts on us. I still remember watching that game and the feelings I had... how disgusted i felt. We've almost given that up in the 1st half.

Pathetic.

Thanks for apologizing on McD's behalf... again.

I'm not surprised. Your great white hype has embarrassed himself again. He's now 4-12 over his past 16. Largely the team that he put together as we know he's the one pulling the strings.

This is probably the worst looking team i've ever seen in Denver. We're setting all-time lows. It will be buoyed by this debacle at home against the Raiders where we almost gave up 40 pts in the 1st half. The Raiders might be in the bottom 3 of the worst teams in the AFC. I guess that puts us lower than them.

McD's over his head. This regime is heading us no-where but the AFC West basement.

The brightside is at least McD can pad Knowshon's stats and make him look like a slightly better draft selection.

Leave it to McD's to **** up the franchise this bad. Once again, it's actually not on him. This is Bowlen's fault. I mean, we could have interviewed Rex Ryan but no, he knew so much better that McDaniels was a guy that we had to have.

McD didn't **** up this franchise. It's been a combination of injuries and some very poor judgement on assistants.

We let Turner/Dennison walk without a back up plan, same with Nolan and replaced them with nobodies.

That's like replacing pro-bowlers with street free agents and expecting the same product.

No doubt McD can put together a great passing game but when it comes to making coaching hires for the long term he's pretty much sh*t the bed.

Quit making excuses. This is all on McD, from the draft picks, to the crummy assistants (Ie, brother went from coaching high school kids to our QB's in just two years). His arrogance, inexperience and overwhelming authority over all decisions orange and blue have catered in this new era of ****tyness. It's time you start understanding the facts.

Turner and Dennison didn't just leave... they were publicly railed all last year as their positions were highlighted as the reasons for the run game sucking... their players, their positions play, etc.

McD made them a scapegoat even if he didn't do it publicly. He did the same to Mike Nolan.

Bottom-line: McD's is in WAY over his head and we're seeing that right now as the Raiders have scored the most points against us IN THEIR HISTORY. If you can't realize this yet, you're way dumber than I ever anticipated. Wake up.

They should jam that ball up Martindales fat ass as they kick him out the damn door. His defense got its ass to roundly whipped today by one of the worst offenses in the league it is not even funny. This goes beyond just how pathetic we were with Slowick.

There is not a single unit of this team, or coaching that showed up today. Not a one.

McDaniels got rid of all the coaches who might have a different opinion then he of the New England Credentials.

I think the real Broncos must have went to the old Mile High.

I think the real Broncos has done a fantastic job thus far turning around the Redskins franchise, lol.

We are steadily declining. Our team is not showing any life at all. It's on the coaching staff and GM...

We don't really have a coaching staff or GM. We have a underage dictator and a bunch of his yes men as he managed to drive off any semblance of solid coaches when he punted Turner, Dennison and Mike Nolan this past offseason. Apparently, they were too strong-willed for him.

As for the GM, he's a pizza face who held an interns job with the Falcons and was given the GM role by McDaniels because he knew he would be walking all over him 2 weeks into their relationship, making all the decisions he wanted to. If the office in the storage-closet didn't give Xanders away, it's our brutal tolerance to pick up all things Patriots, often at a very over-priced means.

why do you think they haven't put Tebow in

Is the Hillis effect like last year/
Tebow will show off Orton. Mcdaniels doesn't want the public to call for Tebow to be our QB...

at least shanny used to sock it to the raiders out of pride. There was no way he would have been able to stomach a defeat like this. Guys would have been benched etc etc.

OK we can talk about why the Broncos did not show up.

Who knew they were going to play the cheerleaders.
