I don't think it was messed up at all. I mean, the guy obviously has a sunny outlook on life, whatever his physical differences may be. I think there was a very positive message in that video!

I think he is a motivational speaker.

Anyway, great video. Makes you realize that a lot of people have it much harder than you, and small things shouldn't bother us.

I am still pissed about the PI call though.

Well I guess 'Post #35 on Breaking news hard hits' messed up my connection here. I can't get on the thread and I can't start a thread now.

Guess someone is telling me to take a break?

Yeah I posted on there and it shows I did, but it doesn't come up at all...what's the deal? ???

I think I may have posted too hard. It was just too "devastating" for a football board. Damn.... even the boards are now getting soft.

This video was good to watch on so many different levels. My biggest problem in life is making things much too serious. Where he understandably might have more reason to enjoy life less than most, he sees life in a much better perspective. Kudos to him. I can certainly learn a lot. Thanks for sharing, I needed that.

I dont know if he has it much 'worse' than anybody. His state of existence gave him alot of things that many people are too blinded by their own normal experience are not able to understand.

Handicapped people were considered holy in some cultures for a reason. They remind people of whats important. Ask anyone with a handicapped child if they believe that or not. They are blessings. :)

He made the best of his situation despite having to overcome harsh obstacles. Yeah, he is really happy now, but imagine growing up with those handicaps. He actually has a video where he talk about how difficult it was for him growing up. That's all, I didn't mean to offend, just saying what I think.

I'm not saying that its good that he had a rough go of things in his life. But what comes out of that kind of pressure on a person is something much deeper than most people are able to understand.

Difficulty and challenge refines the spirit. It either destroys or it refines, like burning away the dross.

When I first watched this video, I though to myself, wow, what a happy-go-lucky individual! He has a great outlook on life and I think we can all learn a lot from him! Then I searched for some more of his videos on Youtube and found a lot more examples of his more "professional" motivational speaker work. I watched about 30 minutes worth of it, and I can tell you, I came out of it feeling very good about myself.

I mean, I guess that's the point of a motivational speaker. They're there to make you feel good about yourself, and make you feel like you can conquer all of your fears and shortcomings.

Maybe I'm naive, but I feel like I can improve my life by simply having a more positive outlook on things. I mean, I have a negative outlook on a lot of things from the get-go, and I think that is the wrong way to look at things. If I flip my initial reaction to things 180 degrees, then maybe I'd be happier overall? I dunno...but I think I'll try it out. Try being happy "on purpose" at the onset of each situation instead of assuming everything is going to come out negative.

Who knows? Maybe I'll be a happier person? Couldn't hurt...at least I know if it fails, I can always fall back on being a pessimistic ass!

Its worth a shot.

If nothing else, you could be self-regulating the RNA in your brain to put more of the machinery in place to produce serotonin. Serotonin is the happy juice. :)
