- the Bears lost. Cutler was sacked another 6 times.
- the Sandy Eggo Sparklers lost.
- the Ratbirds lost in OT. (schadenfreude!)
- the Chefs lost.
- the Raiders lost.

these were good things that happened yesterday.

I love the Raiders. New QB same results. 8 / 21 83 yards, 2 picks and a lost fumble. I am not buying in to the we will split with Oakland crowd. They suck.

Yes, but if we cannot take advantage of those other team's loses in the next strectch of winnable games, the feel good feelings are just going to be passed and gone excuses. Take the Tebow factor, the more aggressive defense, Moreno getting healthy with Orton back on track and you will get those hard fought wins. There are still some worries on both sides to fix but in this division, we have the time to do it......starting against the Faiders.

To not ruin the thread, I did feel a tad better knowing no one won and after watching the game at Anaheim Hooters, went to the Ducks game and they won!!!

Captain and Tenille?

You are in Missouri, so maybe you're driving your '85 T-Bird to a Journey concert.

Another good thing happened for Dallasites: the Cowboys' season pretty much went down in flames. Its a flaming heap in the bowels of Jerry Jones' death star. I'm sure that Jones' next step is to destroy Alderan.

Ha. Sufjan was in town...strangely enough he ended the night on John Wayne Gacy Jr. which we have talked about before.

Remember that spectacular season when our teams QB Joe Cutlet only got sacked a few times ... ?
If you CAN remember those days you're doing better than that QB!

Cutlet spends more time on his back than a $5 hooker!

I also remember everyone talking about how the o-line really wasn't as good as advertised and that Cutler's mobility and quick release were artifically reducing sack totals. I feel that if he has to deal with this for an entire season and Martz's system which just punishes quarterbacks with tons of deep drops, Cutler may never play QB the same way as he did that year with Denver.

Denver lost, I lost in all 5 of my leagues, losing the top spot in 3, BUT I'm still a fan of the Broncos, who no matter what, are the best team in the NFL, the Chargers, Raiders and Chiefs lost. I'll get over the first part.

All in all it was an alright week.

Our two rivals for the division lost their games as well, with one of them losing a significantly easier game than we faced and the other losing a game that they looked like they had in the bag late in the game.

Meanwhile we played one of the best teams in the game and more than held our own, and arguably should have won.

Obviously losing is never what you want, but really to break even on the weekend wasn't a bad result, all in all.

Time to start putting up the W's now though. I've seen enough good things from us in the last six weeks to think we can win 6-8 of our last 10 games and go close to the playoffs. I've also seen enough in the way of blunders to think we could win 3-5 of the last 10 and be looking at a very high draft pick next year.

Time to find out who we are.

As a KC fan I can say the exact same thing.

Honestly, the entire league is a much more competitive bunch than at any time I've ever seen it.

Really, week 4 and the last undefeated team is knocked off?

That's pretty ****ing early and a pretty ****ing odd team to say the least.

Oh, and in 5 divisions there is NO TEAM more than 2 games out.

WOW.

EVERYONE is in it...

Drek

We're a game and a half out with a 10 game schedule that consists of entirely NFC West, AFC West, and the Houston Texans.

The furthest trips east this team takes from here on out is to London against the 49ers (which counts as their home game, not ours) and to KC. That happens week 8 and week 10, with our bye in the middle. After that this team lives Rocky Mountains and west.

I can't imagine us having any more injuries and at some point guys have to start getting healthy.

The OL will only get better with time as the young guys improve and develop chemistry.

A bunch of other positives can be taken from the game. The AFC West is going to be decided by divisional play though. Whatever team controls the divisional match-ups will win the division.
