we hardly knew you :(

RavensInsider

The Broncos cut RB Andre Brown, per a league source, for a short-term roster move and want to re-sign him. He could draw interest, though.

So what. We will be drafting a bomb RB to pair with Moreno.

probably to make room for the S Mcarty or whatever his name is... this must mean Knowshon is ready to go

Must mean Moreno is a go this week. At least for a series or two. Still, no RB depth at all if he goes down. Ah, hell, we would be wasting our time trying to run against the Jets anyway. Put Orton in the gun and bomb away - maybe run some late or mix in a draw / screen now and then.

thats waht i was thinking, it wouldnt be brown if moreno were up to par. then again, maroney might get 30 carries for 56 yards.

Maroney will carry the team, Heck he could break off 20 in this offense.

Dear God, McCarthy was our worst, I mean worst player in the preseason.

I guess they like Chris Clark and Eric Olson. I thought they would be the 2 to go, instead of Brown and Batiste, since Batiste has been active a couple of times. No guarantee Brown clears waivers, but apparently they want to bring him right back.

Just really weird....

Why? Whoever is healthy is going to be active Sunday. Broncos need special teamers. A fourth string RB and reserve OT who doesn't play can't help Denver beat the Jets.

No actually its very logical. Need bodies on defense and special teams. At least in Batiste he can't play special teams. As for Andre Brown well I bet they resign him later if he doesn't go elsewhere.

They need Alexander or someone else at OLB until Ayers returns. Don't know how long McBath is out, but McCarthy is just needed until he or Dawkins returns.

Are there any decent safeties sitting on any other team's PS? McCarthy sucked ass in preseason.

how big is the Lendale White injury...sucks because I think he would have been a solid guy in this offense

Brown cut to make room for Hillis as we are picking him up on trade for next year's 2nd round pick. You heard it hear 2nd. I heard it first on the light rail.

I know what you mean. 1st they say he is injured and out. 2nd they say he is practicing. 3rd they say he is cut. I agree really weird!

With all the injuries and playtime given to those who otherwise wouldn't have it...it sure would be nice to hit on a diamond in the rough.

That was my view as soon as Lendales achilles was announced. He could have made such a major impact on this team this season... likely been good for at least two wins this year had be been healthy .. even after missing 4 games. Big loss.

I've learned this, any McDaniels roster move is a bad one so I'm expecting this guy will sign elsewhere and blow up.

We have the following guys definitely out today:
Ayers
Dawkins
Goodman
McBath
Woodyard

With the following questionables:
Larsen
Moreno
Thomas

If Larsen isn't ready and they want to sit Thomas you're talking about seven roster spots taken up by guys who won't play today.

Its a 53 man roster and we only get 45 active on game day. We generally have one of the three QBs as the inactive emergency QB, but that only leaves us with 7 other spots, five taken up by the guys definitely out. Add Larsen and Thomas and we run out of inactives.

Dropping Brown is to make sure we actually dress 45 guys who can get on the field. We're dangerously close to not even being able to field a 45 man roster.

how about you join Atlas, Punisher, etc and find another team then?

They seem to have zero patience at Dove Valley.
how many players have we brought in, signed and never even played a down for us?
I honestly thought both Lance Ball and the other RB -whose name I can't recall (ND player?)- played a hell of whole lot better than what we've seen of Baloney.
I thought for rookies they did a decent job.
Heck, throw him in there...

I'm praying that McCarthy is purely a ST body. If he sees the field on defense we're in capital T trouble.
