FIRST LADY CAMPAIGNED INSIDE POLLING PLACE
Michelle Obama ignorant of the law.
First lady Michelle Obama appears to have violated Illinois law -- when she engaged in political discussion at a polling place!
The drama began after Mrs. Obama stopped off at the Martin Luther King Center on the south side of Chicago to cast an early vote.
After finishing at the machine, Obama went back to the desk and handed in her voting key.
She let voters including electrician Dennis Campbell, 56, take some photos.
"She was telling me how important it was to vote to keep her husband's agenda going," Campbell said.
According to the pool reporter at the scene, the conversation took place IN the voting center not far from the booths.
Illinois state law -- Sec. 17-29 (a) -- states: "No judge of election, pollwatcher, or other person shall, at any primary or election, do any electioneering or soliciting of votes or engage in any political discussion within any polling place, within 100 feet of any polling place."
A top Ilinois State Board of Elections official tells the DRUDGE REPORT how
Mrs. Obama may have simply been ignorant of the law and thus violated it unintentionally.
"You kind of have to drop the standard for the first lady, right?" the official explained late Thursday. "I mean, she's prety well liked and probably doesn't know what she's doing."
WHITE HOUSE DEFENDS ELECTIONEERING
When questioned about the brazen nature of Mrs. Obama's campaigning, press secretary Robert Gibbs defended the action.
"I don't think it would be much to imagine, the First Lady might support her husband's agenda," Gibbs smiled.

Not really. I say off with her head, I mean it has to be a more hideous act, an unlawful one at that, than supporting someone who lied their ass off which resulted in thousands of our finest men and women getting killed. Right barry? I will agonize for days over this, I mean I supported her husband. What an evil, evil woman!

Trying to distance yourself from Obama in anyway just makes good sense. I understand LABF's motivations for doing so.
But to his defense his position has always been clear and consistent. He completely ignores any harmful things the Dems do and focuses purely on the bad aspects of the GOP. His hate for the GOP is what fuels his fire. Unfortunately, he is completely blinded by this hate to a degree it is impossible have a rational conversation with him.

Wow - swap out the "GOP" and the "Dems" and the foregoing paragraph describes you to a 'T.'
Like most right-wingnuts, you're like the person who complains because others don't pay enough attention to a man shoplifting a pack of chewing gum from the corner news stand when there's a bank robbery taking place right across the street.

That takes a special kind of shamelessness and/or a complete absence of conscience.

Actually I try to give credit to the Dems when credit is due. I haven't ever seen you in the entire time ever give the GOP credit for absolutely anything. Not a single thing, ever.
Indeed the records do not lie. Unfortunately the facts don't back up your rhetoric. Your packs of chewing gum cost around 1T dollars each.

Because the mission is not complete, individuals that attacked this country and continue to threaten our nation and its allies remain active and need to be stopped. We need need to do this to ensure the citizens of United States and the world have an opportunity to live peaceful lives.
That is why we continue to send some of our best and brightest into ****holes of countries around the world and put them in danger. This conflict is no different from when sent our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines to battle the evil of Hitler.

But we're no longer attacking the people who attacked us. Now, we're doing nation building, which is a whole different thing. The Taliban may have supported Al Queda, but they are not Al Queda. The greatest support for Al Queda probably came from the pockets of Saudi princes. I don't see us attacking them. If we were serious about fighting Islamic terrorists, we would get off the oil teat. That would dry up their funds.

There are more operations going on in the world then public/media knows about, including DoT tracking and eliminating transfer of funding. Afghanistan and Somalia are countries most likely to provided stable logistics bases from which Al Queda would have enough mass and centralized command and control structure needed to launch major attacks. The only way to prevent that is to engage in training native troops and supporting a government system that people in those nation can trust.
