This is awesome news.

When they both rush for over a 100 yards and two TD's in one week everyone can come to one thread and commiserate on why did Shanny and McD trade/cut/release these two studs.

Eagles trade Mike Bell to Cleveland for Jerome Harrison
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 13, 2010 2:46 PM ET

Browns coach Eric Mangini insisted last week that running back Jerome Harrison wasn't in his doghouse. Now Harrison isn't even in Cleveland.

Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that the Eagles have acquired Harrison for Mike Bell in a swap of disappointing running backs.

The move makes plenty of sense, especially for Philadelphia. They want running backs that can work on the edge and catch the football well. Harrison makes sense as a backup for LeSean McCoy, just like McCoy once made sense as a backup for Brian Westbrook.

Harrison showed late last season he can be explosive when the conditions are right.

In Bell, the Browns get another power running back to play behind Peyton, albeit one that three teams have given up on since 2007. Hopefully he brings the right cleats to Cleveland. (Skip to 2:10. Still classic.)

UPDATE: The Eagles confirmed the deal.

Solid trade for the Eagles....Jerome Harrison fits the profile of what they look for in the their RBs.

Bell got a ring with the Saints last year. He signed as a FA with philly in the offseason.

He did a good job filling in for Thomas and Bush in the early season and then in short yardage.

The Browns will regret this trade when Hillis gets injured.

Damn right they will, Bell is a marginally skilled back at best. The only reason he got such love here was because he was a fan and wore TD's number, it had absolutely nothing to do with actual accomplishments.

Maybe it's because Harrison is only averaging 2.9 yards per carry behind Cleveland's super awesome line this year.

Harrison is way overrated, but that said, I like his chances in Philly over Cleveland.

Impressive that Hillis went from a 3rd stringer in camp to the Franchise almost overnight. Good for him!

No surprise ... dunno if you guys have been reading the Roto blurbs on Harrison all season, but he's dissatisfied with his carries, and the coaches/management have been brutal and lowdown in response. Bell won't complain like he did.

Still, the Eagles got the better there.

Browns didn't have room for him. Hillis has clearly taken over the starting role, James Davis has out played Harrison, and they drafted Montario Hardesty.

I'm not surprised they traded Harrision, but im a little surprised that they took another running back in return...

Pretty sure it has more to do with the 8 rushing TDs and 4.3 YPC he had in limited carries his rookie year. He supposedly then got a big head, was demoted to fullback, had a fumble in his first game and was cut. The fact that he was a big Broncos fan growing up is why so many people knew who he was before we picked him up as an UDFA.

Dude, I think of the Matrix everytime I see your name! It's Neo, not Mister Anderson ROFL!

Mike Bell is a very capable NFL back. He is a very solid inside running back who gets extra YPC because he always leans forward into his runs like a good Zone RB. Not a starter mind you, but a very good backup who can start a few games with a solid OL and make a difference. He played extremely well for NO last year and I bet they wish they had him right now as poorly as their Running game has been without Thomas and Bush.
