I swore that if the Jays ever traded the Doc, I'd give up on them. I've since discovered there's no other team I'd rather cheer for. Having said that, I love this guy. GO PHILLIES!

Don't really watch the Reds, but their bullpen did pretty good.

WOW!!! Simply awesome! Jay Bruce battles back from 1-2 to force a walk... The only blemish on pretty much a perfect night in philly!

I'm no fan of the Phillies, but I must say it's nice to see a local Colorado kid become one of the best in the game.

I do too, but if they were playing the Yankees I'd be rooting for Cincy.

GO BRAVES! On a smaller scale, go Rays!

Congrats Phillies and that no hitter. Quite an accomplishment.

I really can't stand any team from Cincinnati, funny how it just kinda worked out that way. I'm no Phillies fan either, but I'd take almost any team over the Reds (except maybe...the Cards).

I really think the Giants pitching staff is going to carry them to the WS as the NL representative.

C'mon man... I know you dont like my Phils, BUT, if you're talking pitching staffs, there is no better than the Phillies 1,2,3 starters.

BTW, Flyers at Pens tomorrow night for the opener! Can you say, Bobrovsky?

I'd say he's got the Cy Young pretty much locked up now.And to think the Cy Young was within Ubaldo's grasp at one point during this season.
I'm not sure they take into consideration post-season play, not that it would be needed since Halladay is such an awesome pitcher...

The Giants. I really hope they meet in the NLCS.

I am sure I am being affected by my Giant bias...but I just don't see the Phillies having a perfect ending this year. I think they go down in the NLCS or the WS.

Obviously more of a gut feeling than anything tangible, as the Phillies are playing fantastic right now. I will be first in line to admit I am wrong and congratulate you Philly if they are the last man standing.

As someone living in Cincinnati who used to be a pretty big baseball fan in my teens when we had season tickets to the Reds and waited 15 years to see them back in the playoffs that sucked ...

Was cool to see history tho and couldn't have happened to a better guy ... Gratz Halladay and the philly faithful ...

Alright Worm.... I just wanted to make sure you weren't a Met or Yankee fan talking weak smack. I respect the Giants alot. their offense is alot better since the additions of Posey, and dare I say, Pat the Bat....
Lincicum and Cain are gonna be tough as hell and I'm glad if we face off, we get them in Philly. It will be tough to get alot of scoring chances if they pitched in SF with the bigger sized ball park, the cold, mist/rain, and wind. I guess it just depends how quickly you oust the braves. I dont see the Braves hanging at all with the Giants. I see a sweep or maybe Giants in 4.
To be honest, I'd love to see the Giants. I always want the best team left. I want a great series. Thank god no Dodgers this year. We kicked their a$$es so bad, it got rather boring.
Good luck Worm... hope we see each other the next round:thumbs:

Halladay has been a top pitcher for a long time and you got to love his demenor when he plays. While all the talk is on the Lincecom's, Jimenez's, and other young pitchers to claim the best in baseball Halladay just goes out and continues to show who the best is.
