Not like we didn't know this, but the Broncos have the league's #1 pass offense, the 3rd worst rushing offense, and we're right in the middle of the pack in scoring.

Kinda funny, actually: top of the league passing + bottom of the league rushing = middle of the league scoring.

Broncosí O: No. 1 passing, No. 30 in rushing, No. 15 in scoring

The numbers are now in to confirm what has already been obvious: The Broncos are a passing team. And they arenít much of a running team.

With just the Monday Night Game left before Week 3 is completed, the Broncos lead the NFL with 350 yards per game.

However, the Broncos rank 30th in rushing with just 67.0 yards per game. Worse, they rank 32nd, or dead-last, with 2.5 yards per carry, which is often considered the truest indicator of a teamís running ability.

So first in passing and last in rushing. What does it mean? You guessed it. Overall, the Broncosí offense is so-so. They rank second in yards at 417.0 per game, but 15th in scoring at 20.3 points per game.

I have faith in our OL's improvement because of the youth on the line.

Can Hillis play o-line?

Can Hillis play o-line?

No, he cant even handle a kickoff without a fumble but I'm sure he could fix our line problems.

Our team is falling apart.

Man if we just had Hillis, Nalen, Lepsis, Neil, Schlereth we would have a decent running game. Why did McD trade those guys? What a dik

Prolly dead last in red zone percentage if anyone can dig that stat up.

I just did.

We're 24th in red zone percentage, and 2nd in net yards.

Funny thing was, when I googled "Red zone stats" from here in the Netherlands, the first result I got was "Tim Tebow Will Improve Broncos Red Zone Stats"

There are 2 teams that are worse than us in rushing? How is that possible?

I fully expected to see Tebow in Redzone packages this year and for McD to roll him out giving him some run/pass option plays. Really, if you have Kyle Orton and are completely comfortable with him then what are you worried about with Tebow running the football?

Looks like I need to go write an article about this on Bleacher report. The premise of the article will be that we need to trade for Peyton Hillis and Peyton Manning.

Hilarious!

Bingo.

Orton being at the top of the league in passing with no running game says a lot about him as a QB, imo. Imagine this guy with a real threat of a running game?

Someone please tell the coach: we love to run the football, in Denver.

It has done wonders vs. the Indianapolis Colt and Jacksonville Jaguars over the years.

So did I. The lack of Tebow in short yardage / goal line is the biggest single surprise of the season to me so far.

There were many encouraging things to see this last Sunday versus the Colts. The defense actually made some key stops and at times shut down the Colts. The individual talent made some key plays. Champ was amazing, the run defense was surprisingly good, and Ayers looked solid. From game 16 from last year to game 1 from this year, or from game 1 of this year to game 3 of this year, the overall talent and quality of play has improved.

Offensively, the only thing stopping us is a piss poor run game. This problem should remedy itself when Harris returns and Beadles turns into the human road grader at LG.

If the Broncos can somehow win this next week and Harris can return to the lineup, this team will be very dangerous. Personally, I want the mother****in Colts in the 1st round of the playoffs. It will be payback time.

No matter what happens this year though, the Broncos will be SB contenders in 2011.

It has done wonders vs. the Indianapolis Colt and Jacksonville Jaguars over the years.

The colts over the years have gotten a huge early lead which forced us to pass the ball more than we wanted. The Jaguars have always beat us because they were always manhandling both of our lines into submission.

A running game in both scenarios would have worked wonders this year. Orton isn't Peyton manning he can't score TD's by passing inthe redzone
