NFL Rumors: Denver Broncos Trade of Kyle Orton for Marshawn Lynch Imminent?
By Omar Brown (Correspondent) on September 29, 2010

After starting 1-2 and with only 3 wins for his last 13 games, one has to wonder how long before Denver Broncos head coach pulls his itchy trigger finger on Kyle Orton.

McDaniels did not hesitate to pull the trigger on Jay Cutler or Brandon Marshall.

After seeing Brandon Stokely sign with the Seattle Seahawks yesterday, one thing is certain, when it comes to getting his team dialed into the direction he wants to take it into the future, Josh McDaniels is as spontaneous quick to the draw as Doc Holliday.

With Marshawn Lynch added to the roster, the Broncos top ten WR corp will have a top ten RB corp to add to a schedule that has only two teams on it who ranked in the top ten passing defenses last season.

Broncos starting Lynch and Tebow could be the final piece's of the puzzle that answer the enigma the offense has managed to find itself in scoring wise despite its enormous success passing yardage wise.

This brings us to one of my favorite quotes from Doc Holliday in the movie Tombstone

"Oh, make no mistake. It's not revenge he's after. It's a reckoning."

Such a trade would not only go to great strides in poising the rookie Tebow for success, but in silencing the unwarranted rhetoric from the critic's who have been so harsh on McDaniels attempt to redirect the mediocre direction the Broncos have been in for some time now.

Maybe after such a move critics such as CBS Sports.coms Pete Prisco for instance can go from nick naming McDaniels "boy-coach" to "Doc"?

would be a horrible trade from the standpoint of how well orton is performing...but would be from a mathematical standpoint considered genius in that orton was picked up essentially for nothing meaning we'd get lynch for a bag of peanuts in terms of compensation

This would actually be a fantastic trade for the Broncos. You'd get rid of a quarterback who will never take you anywhere, get a proven replacement for Slowshon (who would be a very nice backup RB), and best of all you get to put in Tebow. This year was lost from the beginning so he might as well get some experience.
