Speaking of the Neck Pony Nation, I have some questions. Im sure it is somewhere in this thread(the answers I mean) but I am really too lazy to go look through 51 pages of stuff, so here goes:

1) What is "Neck Pony Nation"?
2) How did "it" begin?
3) Do you have to join?
4) Am I going to finally be cool if I join?
5) Does it provide dates with EGIBGB members?

Just some of the stuff I wanted to know :)

Yeah, the answers are contained in the thread... but...

1) the Neck Pony Nation comprises all the Bronco faithful.

2) the term "Neck Pony Nation" was coined several years ago by a Fade fan named Black Hole on the DPO forum. Originally intended as a demeaning term, it was embraced by Broncos fans and a mega-thread devoted to the Neck Pony Nation still exists on that board. Since the OM has roots from the DPO, the tradition continues here.

3) As a Broncos fan, you're already a member of the Neck Pony Nation...

4) As above, you're already cool... ;D 8')

5) I'd guess that is up to the :egbgb: in question.... ;D ;D ;D

Football fan living in tree in protest at team's poor form

A Brazilian football fan is living in a tree in protest at his team's poor form.

Roberto has tied himself to the tree outside Corinthians' ground, and says he'll stay there until things improve.

He spoke to local journalists from the tree, whilst eating bananas and throwing the skins at the club door.

Roberto is demanding changes to the team line-up and tactics before he comes down.

But a Corinthians spokesman told the EFE agency that they would not repond to his extortion.

I know he's old and coming off an injury, but he is a Pro-Bowler. Maybe he could help our OL.

CINCINNATI (Feb. 20, 2003) -- The Cincinnati Bengals terminated the contract of former Pro Bowl offensive tackle Richmond Webb.

The 36-year-old Webb played his first 11 seasons with the Miami Dolphins, appearing in seven Pro Bowls, before he signed with Cincinnati as a free agent in 2001.

He started all 16 games for the Bengals that season but missed the final 12 last year after tearing his left pectoral muscle in a loss to Tampa Bay.

Webb has played in 184 career games, including 183 starts.

(7 March 2002, Colorado) When Gerald was pulled over by police for erratic driving, he decided it was better to flee from the stolen car on foot, rather than face possible jail time for a parole violation. This was the first of two successive mental lapses. Geraldís actual thoughts are unknown, but *may* have been something like this: "The officers are only suspicious and alert now... Iíll make them hot, sweaty, tired, and angry by leading them on a wild chase through dark alleys and fields."
During the subsequent foot chase, Gerald attempted to dissuade officers from the pursuit by firing a 9mm Ruger semiautomatic handgun blindly over his shoulder. This was the second illustration of a potential mental deficiency. "Officers are running behind me. They have guns. I have a gun! They have eyes in the front of their heads, so they can see to aim at me. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, so Iíll fire wildly behind me and see what happens!"

Unfortunately, Gerald appears to have been one of those folks who can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Or at least he couldnít flee and fire at the same time. While discharging the weapon over his shoulder, Gerald managed to shoot himself in the head with his own gun, bringing the chase to a sudden conclusion.

Four shots were fired, none by the officers, who found Gerald's pistol next to his fallen body. Gerald was transported to a local hospital where he expired the following day, thus removing a set of genes deficient in both judgment and coordination from the gene pool.

HEMPSTEAD, New York (Court TV) -- A 40-year-old registered nurse was found guilty last week of public lewdness for engaging in a mťnage Š trois with relatives on a moving Long Island Rail Road train last September.

The jury determined that Dennis Greene copulated with his sister-in-law, Francine Greene, 40, while she was performing oral sex on her husband, Lyle Greene, 41, a plumber. Dennis Greene denied his involvement in the sexual escapades, saying he slept through most of the ride.

The three were busted by LIRR cops in September after engaging in a group sex act during an early morning train ride from Manhattan. Several disgusted passengers complained to the conductor, but the Greenes carried on even after the conductor told them to stop, authorities said.

During the trial, Terrence Fitzgerald, an assistant conductor, testified he saw Francine Greene sitting between the brothers. She and Dennis Greene were partially clothed. Fitzgerald informed the conductor, Warren Beale.

The sexual shenanigans finally ended at the Merrick, Long Island, station after police boarded the train and arrested them.

Lyle and Francine Greene previously pleaded guilty to public lewdness. All three each face up to 90 days in jail when they are sentenced May 9.

Police seek panty raid thieves

BELLEVUE, Washington -- Authorities want to know who stole 300 pairs of panties from Victoria's Secret. Was it someone with a fetish or black marketers looking to make an easy buck?

Police are still investigating how the thief or thieves managed to steal such a large quantity of women's panties in a variety of colors, styles and sizes from the store this past Sunday. There was no video surveillance in the store, said Bellevue police spokeswoman Marcia Harnden.

"It's very unusual. It's shoplifting to the max," Harnden said.

Police, she said, are monitoring local flea markets and online auction sites to see if the unmentionables show up.

"If I were the consumer, I'd be very leery about buying undergarments from a disreputable source," she said.

SIDE STEPPING
by James "PoppyK" Kisner

The photo album worn and old is sitting on the pile,
She flips the cover open just to reminisce awhile.
On the first page there she is, a baby in her lap,
Her son when he was one year old; she smiles as she thinks back.

That was taken in the park where she took him to play,
Funny how it sometimes seems like only yesterday.
But other times it seems those days are distant memories,
And all we have reminding us are pictures such as these.

She sees a picture of him with his second birthday cake,
And smiles as she remembered of the face that he would make,
When trying to blow out the candles he would have a fit,
He tried so hard to blow them out but they would all stay lit.

So Mom came to the rescue with a waving of her hand,
The same time that he blew on it she waved a little fan.
She smiles as she thinks back at all the things when he first tried,
When she would lend a helping hand and then just step aside.

She sees a picture of him standing holding his first bike,
And smiles when thinking how he said, "it's harder than a trike".
But she would run behind him holding on while he would ride,
Until he got his balance and then she would step aside.

She turns the page and sees a picture when he was in school,
Remembering he used to say that it was not so cool,
To have your mother waiting for the school bus at your side,
So when the bus would get in sight, she quickly stepped aside.

She goes on through the album like a trip down through the years,
And as she goes from page to page her eyes start forming tears.
All through his life she stood by him in everything he tried,
Until he could do it alone and then she stepped aside.

But even though she stepped aside she was always near,
With a mother's worried heart and with a mother's fear.
Knowing that a day would come when life would have a plan,
For her little boy who now has grown to be a man.

She closes up the album and looks at the fireplace,
She sees his picture on the mantle with his smiling face.
Called to active duty and he's serving now with pride,
And once again with worried heart, she had to step aside.

(June 2000) As a nurse in the intensive care unit of a large medical center, I've had the opportunity to care for many potential recipients of the Darwin Award. The man in this story didnít lose his life, but lost his dignity and claim to common sense, among other injuries.
At 3AM one morning, the charge nurse called to tell me to expect a patient from the ER who had just had an emergency bowel resection. Trying to stifle her laughter, she said the report nurse would call soon to fill me in on the details.

My coworkers and I speculated about possible reasons someone would require emergency bowel surgery in the middle of the night. Finally, the phone rang, and we sat in rapt silence to take the report on this unfortunate soul.

A 40-year-old white male came in complaining of abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. He claimed to be unaware of any reason for such symptoms. But during his examination, the physician discovered a coat hanger protruding from the patient's rectum.

When questioned, the man admitted he had inflicted this injury upon himself. Earlier that night, while his wife was at work, he was "pleasuring himself" when he had an urge to push an uncooked egg into his anus. Panicked when he lost it "up there," he tried to fish it out with the crooked end of a coat hanger. But the coat hanger became snagged!

He decided that maybe the vibration from a ride on his motorcycle would cause the whole mess to dislodge from his nether region. Finally, unable to stand the growing pain, he rode his motorcycle to the ER.

The physician removed the coat hanger, and repaired his intestines.

An hour later, his wife arrived. Minutes later, she stormed out of the room and demanded to be told what had happened. I told her she should ask her husband. She said he claimed that he didn't know, and that the medical staff wouldn't tell him anything. She was politely, but firmly, instructed to speak to the man's physician.

1. Blackjack chewing gum~ Not really, I think it might of tasted bad or something. Bazooka w/comics, gumball machines.

2. Wax Coke-shaped bottles with colored sugar water~ yeah, tasted like crap, but I remember them.

3. Candy cigarettes~ 'smoked em. Not as bad as later habits.

4. Soda pop machines that dispensed bottle~sure 15 cents.

5. Coffee shops with tableside jukeboxes~ They had them into the 80's. The real deal was the soda fountain like Arnolds. Before my time, but I remember we had one at the Walgreens, they took it out in the 70's.

6. Home milk delivery in glass bottles with cardboard stoppers

7. Party lines~ Had one in the country.

8. Newsreels before the movie~ I remember pink panther, not war reels.

9. P. F. Flyers~barely. I think I had a pairs of Red-Balls and Converse

10. Butch wax~ maybe my older brother. seen it tho.

11. Telephone numbers with a word prefix (Olive - 6933) or plymouth-1225~

12. Peashooters~ sure, but a wrist rocket with a ball bearing or steelie was much more leathal.

13. Howdy Doody~nope

14. 45 RPM records~ The Beatles

15. S&H Green Stamps~ Mom saved them, the grocery store and others gave them out. Big waste of time.

16. Hi-fi's~Console Stereo was the new rage, 1966.

17. Metal ice trays with lever~ sure.

18. Mimeograph paper~ teachers hated them. Xerox was right around the corner.

19. Blue flashbulbs~ sure.

20. Packard's~ Chevy's

21. Roller skate keys~not really.

22. Cork popguns~ B.B. Guns.

23. Drive-ins~ They were GREAT.

24. Studebakers~They called them AMC by 1960.

25. Wash tub wringers~ probably Grandma had one, not really.

I was youngest in the family and my dad as well, so I saw some pretty old stuff used. I'm 43. Plus I grew up on the farm.

Cracked Pot

A water bearer in China had two large pots. Each hung on the ends of a pole, which he carried across his shoulders.

One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years, this went on daily, with the bearer bringing one and a half pots full of water to his house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other side? That is because I have always known about your flaw. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you have watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Moral: Each of us has our own flaws. We are all cracked pots. It is the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so interesting and rewarding. Take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them.

What would be really sweet would be NASN showing NFL games as well. I started subscribing to them before the draft, and its great. You get Around the Horn and Pardon the interuption and about 10 baseball games a week.
Once we get to August they will be showing college football as well. I don't think they will be showing NFL because Sky have the rights, which totally sucks because I stopped my sky sports package so that I could afford NASN. They should come to an arrangement though where they have second choice and can show games that Sky aren't.
That way there is more chance of seeing the Broncos

broncoblue

i would subscribe to it if it meant more games on tv.what would be really kool would be like a season ticket for overseas fans like a pay per view.

I don't know if anybody but me watched the wash at atl game, but it was a good game in the first half, and an outstanding example of R&&v&s' playcalling.

Atl was up 24-14. They got the ball on their own 21 with 2:10 left in the half. As Goose the Fatman is saying "Dan's got them right where he wants them with a lead and 2 mins left. He wants to run at their defensive line." Which actually made sense considering their backup quarterback isn't much better than Danny Kanel.

So, anyway Danno runs his big tailback two times, and with the help of a Skins offsideds, he has a first and ten on Atls 41 with 1:10 remaining.

Now the question is what should he do? His tailback just ran for 13 yds and a first down. Does he run? NOOOOOO. He has his qb Pass THREE consecutive downs. IN-COM-PLETE.

Wash gets the ball with 56 secs on it's 30 and drives for a FG.

ROFLMAO. Atl was done for the day! First series in the 2nd half Wash runs the field for a td and ties it up.

Two series later, DJohnson is sacked for a safety.
