Morning all! Happy Thursday.

Thanks, Blue. I'm in glasses today and I'm all dizzy! It's crazy. But, hopefully have new eyes on Tuesday. It's going to be a long weekend! Hoping I can focus on football on Saturday! ;D Have a ticket to the Ducks game. Get to practice my tailgating skills this weekend! ;D

Thought for the day:

Work your way through

Some of your efforts will bring valuable results. Other efforts will bring valuable experience.

No effort is wasted when you choose to value it. Everything you do serves to eventually move you forward.
Anticipate what might go wrong and take steps to avoid those things. But don't make the mistake of avoiding action altogether just because there might be problems.
When the goal is worthy and meaningful, get busy and make it happen. Focus on the end result, expect the best, and make the commitment to deal with any obstacles that might arise.
Sure, it's easy to compile a list of excuses for not taking action. But that will get you precisely nowhere. Though you know it won't always be easy going, take bold steps forward anyway. Be willing to meet the resistance that you know will come, and to work your way through, and real achievement is surely yours.

08-31-2007, 11:42 AM
alright, you boys and your spankings.... :giggle:

Still feeling icky...but, working anyway.

Thought for today...

Make the most
Be honest with yourself, and with everyone else as well. There are some things you like and other things you dislike, and that's just fine.

Be fully accepting of yourself, and of others as well. You are who you are, with your dreams and passions, preferences and interests, and each person is delightfully unique.

What you run from or hide from or seek to deny, grows bigger and more influential as a result. By getting things out in the open, by seeing them for what they truly are, you become free of their control.

You are where you are and life is the way it is. The more completely you accept it, the more power you have to do something about it.

This moment carries enormous opportunity. No positive purpose is served by fighting against it.

Instead, accept what is, the way you are, the way you feel, and the things that life has brought to you. Then you can make the very most of it all.

Some lessons are more difficult to learn than others! But, the lesson I learned today was one I hated to learn but unfortunately, is just part of life. So sad that some people can come along and completely dissappoint you with who they really are.

I was once told that people will always reveal who they are to you and you should always pay attention to who they reveal to you. Never try and make excuses for it and always accept what they show you. One lesson well learned!

Anyway, Broncos football in just one short week and the home opener in just two short weeks!!!! YEEEHHHAAAAWW!!! ;D

thought for today:

Something good

Something good is going to occur today. You can count on it.

Something good has already happened. And it will continue.

Even if you don't expect it, something good is now underway. Expect it, accept it, and you'll more fully reap its value.

Something good is going on and growing stronger. You can choose to grow along with it.

Something good is everywhere. Open yourself to it and you'll know.

Today is a day for something good to happen. Let it happen through you

Morning and Happy Tuesday, peeps!!

Exciting to see our new edition to the broncs! This should be a GREAT season!

Today's thought:

Thoughts into joy
Your thoughts are what frighten you. Choose to change them, and the fear is gone.

Your thoughts are what cause you to be frustrated, angry, disappointed, impatient and uncomfortable. And your thoughts can also take you far away from all those things.

For your thoughts can transform anger into forgiveness, disappointment into determination, discomfort into inspiration, and fear into love. The choice is always yours.

The world is what it is. Yet your thoughts determine how you situate yourself into the world.

By controlling your thoughts you control the kind of world in which you live. At the times when you realize it, and at the times when you don't, you are always controlling your thoughts.

Deep inside you is a beautiful, unique person who seeks true joy and fulfillment. Let your thoughts resonate with the genuine person you are, and that joy does surely come.

Thought for today:

Gloriously difficult
Life is gloriously difficult. The universe is wonderfully complex.

Every new discovery opens the door for even more discoveries. Every challenge you work through enables you to move on to even greater and more fulfilling challenges.

Instead of fighting against the difficulty, celebrate it. Embrace the challenges and you'll find profound value in them.

Instead of being frustrated and confused by the complexity, dive in and experience its richness. Though you'll never understand it all, you can always understand more.

Circumstances change from moment to moment, and life is continually renewed. Though changes can often be painful, a life with no change at all would be unbearably empty.

With its many ups and downs and twists and turns, life is happening all around you. Remember how truly fortunate you are, take it all in, and make your own special greatness.

Thought for today...Another good one...always gets me good!! :sunshine:

Be willing
What are you willing to create in your life? How are you willing to spend the precious resource of your time, and what are you willing to accomplish?

There are countless things that you are able to do. What matters is what you are willing to do.

Life is filled with things that you wish for, that you see yourself as needing, that you feel you must do, and that you think you can't live without. The attainment and fulfillment of each of these things depends on whether you are willing or whether you are not.

You can make magnificent promises, you can make understandable excuses, you can set goals, and you can make impressive plans. Yet it all comes down to what you are willing to do, where you are willing to take yourself, and how you are willing to live.

Skills, training, resources, connections and experience are all very helpful. In the end, though, what will make it happen is your willingness.

What are you willing to do with the spectacular opportunity that is your life? Be willing, and it will surely happen.

Thought for today:

Earning confidence
Even the smallest accomplishment will boost your confidence level. And with increased confidence, you can set your sights on a larger accomplishment.

Confidence is not something that comes to just a lucky few. Confidence is not something that anyone else can simply hand over to you.

You can't buy confidence, you can't inherit it, and you cannot gain it by taking it away from others. Everyone who has real confidence has earned it, one accomplishment at a time.

Start with what you have, with what you know you can do, and then add a little challenge to it. Soon you'll know without a doubt that you can do even more.

As your confidence grows, so will your achievements, because the biggest achievements come to those who have the confidence to take on the most difficult challenges.

Confidence requires work, and it is well worth the effort. Use every opportunity to earn yourself more confidence, and many valuable doors will continue opening for you.

Good morning!! Happy Saturday, Maners!

Beautiful day today, food, beverages of the adult kind, football and great friends....what more could one ask for!

Great thought for today!!

Transformation
Light does not conquer darkness by pushing the darkness out of the way. Rather, the light comes into the darkness and transforms it with brilliant, positive energy.

In the same way, the obstacles in life are not conquered by fighting them on their own terms or attempting to push them out of the way. The best way to move past a difficult situation is to transform it with positive, productive energy.

No matter how much you push against the darkness it will not go anywhere. Yet the moment you shine your light, the darkness is no more.

When you fight against your problems, all it usually accomplishes is to make them stronger and give them more validity. That's certainly not what you would ever intend.

Instead, seek to transform those problems, those difficult situations, by virtue of your own positive values and efforts. Focusing on what you're working toward is far better than being obsessed with whatever you think you're against.

Rather than struggling against the situation, give the best you have to it. Rather than fighting darkness with more darkness, transform that darkness by letting your light shine.

Happy Monday! And a good Monday at that!

A weekend full of great wins for all my favorite teams! One last Monday before leaving for next week's game, it's beautiful outdoors (wish I was out there instead of in here)....what more could one ask for?! Oh, and a double header Monday Night football, to boot! !Booya!

Thought for today:

Before
Seek to understand before you attempt to judge. Opinions formed in haste can often be the source of great trouble and needless hostility.

Take the time to think and to plan before you act. Though it is essential that you do take action, it is best when you've carefully thought it through.

Replenish what you need before it runs completely out. You'll avoid wasted time and effort as well as much anxiety and expense.

Think about your true purpose before making any commitments. You're much more effective and fulfilled when following a path that resonates with who you sincerely are.

Look carefully and thoughtfully at where you're going long before you actually get there. Not only will you be more fully prepared once you arrive, you'll avoid any wasted effort spent getting to where you don't even want to go.

Many things in life can be dramatically more enjoyable and productive when you have the forethought to do certain other things first. Think, consider, plan and prepare before you do, and then you'll be able to truly delight in the doing.

Here's the story of a man named Shanny
Who was bringing up a very special team.
All of them had hearts to win, like their coach,
The youngest one I don't know. :)

Here's the story, of a man named Elway.
Who was busy leading his team to victories.
They were tough men, working all together,
Yet they were not alone.

Till the one day when this team won the Super Bowl,
And they knew that it was much more than a hunch.
Because this group would next year win another.
That's the way we all became the Bronco Bunch.
The Bronco Bunch, The Bronco Bunch.

Happy Tuesday!!

I'm so psyched for this weekend!! Can't wait! Wish it was already here!

Thought for today:

A little higher

There will be days so dreadful that you may regret ever getting out of bed, and there will be days so beautiful that you'll wish they would never end. You can make something good and valuable out of all of them.

Some people you meet will make you instantly feel that you've known them for years. Others you meet may make you want to get as far away from them as quickly as you can.
All kinds of people are equally worthy of your kindness, respect and consideration, and have their own valuable gifts to offer. Remind yourself often of that.
There will be stretches of time when you'll feel you can't get anything right, and there will be periods when everything you touch seems to turn to gold. Don't allow either extreme to get the best of you or to compromise your precious integrity.
You'll experience times of boundless joy, and moments of overwhelming frustration. You'll discover places of extraordinary beauty, and regions of terrifying ugliness. Through it all, remember that whatever you may encounter is virtually insignificant when compared with what you choose to do with it. Always choose the best response, no matter what comes your way, and each day you'll rise a little higher than you were the day before.

Thought for today:

A little taste
Give yourself a little taste of accomplishment. And you'll find yourself wanting more.
Decide that you're going to finally take the first step toward a truly beautiful and meaningful dream. Soon you'll be running quickly and enthusiastically toward it.

Experience how great it feels to provide someone else with something of real value. You'll discover useful and positive things about yourself that you never knew before.

Stroll along the shore and get your feet wet in the ocean of fulfillment. Before long you'll be diving all the way in.

Seek to comprehend and to express what it means to you to be fully alive. Remember the reasons and purposes that make you who you are.

Take a little taste of life in all its richness and meaning. And give yourself an insatiable appetite for truly being your best.

Morning and happy Thursday all! 2 days...yeah!!

Thought for today:

You are over it
You may have wasted the entire day, week or month up to this point. Yet that's no reason to continue with the unproductive, negative pattern.

No matter what has gone on before, you can make the most of right now. Any prior ineffectiveness cannot stop you from being truly and purposefully effective in this moment.

You may have made a lot of mistakes and errors in judgment on your way to where you are. But that has nothing to do with where you can choose to go from here.

Don't worry about getting over the past. You are over it because you are here right now.

Right now, your best dreams beckon. Right now, there is plenty that you can do.

Can you feel the incredible freedom and opportunity that this moment represents? Take hold of that freedom, seize this precious, promising moment and live the life you are meant to live.

Thought for today:

Powerful positive push

Look carefully and thoughtfully at the things that frustrate you. In each of them you will find real and workable ideas for positive growth.

Frustration occurs when you realize, sometimes painfully, that things are not working nearly as well as they could be. Follow that realization to its natural conclusion and you will find a clearly marked pathway for improvement.

Great inventions, successful companies and immense fortunes have been built through positive responses to frustration. Indeed, frustration has always been a major catalyst for creating value.

People frustrated with the way things are, can develop insatiable appetites for making the world better. Frustration can get you thinking and acting, building, creating and persevering toward a positive purpose.

Frustration is the feeling of knowing it can be better, and the greater the frustration, the more positive and exciting are the possibilities. When you are feeling frustration, remind yourself what a truly great blessing it can be leading you toward.

When you know without a doubt that things can be better, you've already started the process of improvement. Go ahead, feel the frustration, and let it give you a powerful positive push.

GO DUCKS!!!

Thought for today:

It works
Is it realistic to be positive about life? After all, being positive sounds good in theory, yet in the real world so many things can so often go awry.
Yes, being positive is entirely realistic. Because truly being positive is not based on what is or is not likely to happen.

Being positive is all about what you decide to create. Being positive is a perspective from which you can choose to operate.

As such, not only is it realistic to be positive, it is also highly empowering. No matter what may have happened or failed to happen, being positive is the most intelligent and effective way forward.

There are plenty of completely reasonable and perfectly valid reasons for being negative. Yet they are all outweighed by a single, compelling reason for being positive.

Being positive is always realistic because whatever the situation, being positive gives you the most valuable and powerful options. Look around, and you'll see that the best reason to be positive is because it works.

And, YES, it does work!!!

Good evening Bronco maniacs. Hope all is well!

Looking forward to some faiduh arse whoopin by our boys tomorrow!

Game #2: Oakland (+9.5) @ Denver

Game Analysis:
Both teams had surprise weeks last week. Oakland showed that their offense may be a little better than last year (although the Lions doesn't exactly have a stout defense!). And Denver surprised us by not walking all over the Bills.

9.5 points is a lot to give, but Denver is at home and ready to beat up on their long-time division rival. Oakland had one of the league's top defenses last year, but last week against Detroit they proved to be vulnerable. Travis Henry and Javon Walker should thrive for Denver.

This is a game where we have a few top handicappers and a few internal indicators favoring the Broncos, so the numbers look solid.

Denver's recent 1-8 record ATS scares me a little, but Oakland is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 so I feel a little better.

Give the points and cheer for Dre Bly and Champ Bailey to shut down the Oakland offense.

Can't wait to get back out to Denver! Hopefully a couple more times this season...if not more! Ahhh, what a great time!

Good Morning all! Ahhh, back to reality! A happy reality, though! ;D

Thought for today:

You could or you can

You could curse and complain about your feebleness, or you can get busy and make yourself stronger. You could seethe with resentment about the past, or you can make the choice to let go and move forward.

You could worry endlessly about what might or might not happen, or you can take steps to successfully prepare yourself for anything that comes along. You could make a long list of all the things that will perhaps go wrong, or you can accept the fact that there will be obstacles and decide to deal with them as they come.

You could hide away from the world inside the walls of your comfort zone where nothing challenges you. Or you can make use of every second of your precious time to explore and experience, to get cold, wet, and dirty, and to feel wonderfully alive.

You could let the smallest defeat turn into a big, imposing excuse for giving up. Or you can learn from what went wrong and then step enthusiastically forward with your newfound knowledge and determination.

You could smugly blame all your troubles on something or someone other than you. Or you can take a long, deep breath, then take full responsibility, and feel how empowering it is to be in total control.

There are lots of things you could have been, could have done, could have seen, could have known, and could have experienced. Yet nothing compares to the wondrous places you'll go when you do what you know you can.

So the job hunt is back on, have a second interview with another tech company (ChoicePoint, HQ's in Atlanta) here in town. Heard of the job on Saturday, had a phone interview sunday evening (very interesting as I was half drunk due to the game) but apparently tore it up as she scheduled me for another phone interview with the EVP yesterday. Spoke with him for about a half an hour and that led to the scheduling of a second interview, face-to-face on Tuesday the 25th! woot! Best part, it's here in Bozeman!

Hey all you NPN'ers...figured I'd just ask here rather than a new thread. No need for that now.

Just want to ask for your thoughts and prayers for my dad. I'm not in a place to share much at this time, but I'll definitely be needing some prayers as I deal with some things with/for him medically speaking in the next few weeks! Outside of my daughter, he's the only family I have left...I'm not ready to let go yet! Thanks bunches!
