That's cool
I went to see a Tool concert a couple of weeks ago in July
The band that they had opening for them was wild too, but the name escapes me
There was so much stuff going around you would think that it was a drug convention though  :o
The name of that band would,nt be TOMAHAWK? Cause that was who opened up for them last night :) oh man the show was a blast!!! :hooray: My chubby was jumpin :blah: There were girls in there who wore next to nothing! There was this one girl (I named her the temptress) she pulled down her ultra teenie weenie mini skirt down and was wiggling her g- string in front of my face! :o AND!! she was with her boyfriend!!! :o   I don't know about you boys but she was nothing but trouble in my book!  Chubby had to stay put if ya know what I mean ;)  Aside from that I was pretty shwacked on Smirnoff Ice and a small Joint that a freind of mine had  Oh! be prepared to hear alot of the new album. They played nothing off of Undertow. They did play some Opiate though! I didn't like the fact that the lead singer came out in his underwear! ( i did have other things to look at though ;D)    All in all I had a great time! So ames you have one killer show coming your way!  I also loved the drum solo

why isnt this topic in the ring of fame i dont care that much i was just curious...

While Blue's explanation is probably the most accurate, I like to think of it this way: If we, as Bronco fans can keep this thread on page one, we build up good mojo for the Broncos....

holy hell, I had not realized how many TOOL fans there were out there! August 30th I get to see them, been my favorite band since January in 1996, heard stinkfist late one night and decided to get the CD Aenima to see what they were all about, listened to it, and was instantly hooked in.

Anyway, I could talk about tool for days I like them so much, but I shortened it up. This concert will be somewhat of a fulfillment for me, since they have been my favorite for nearly 7 years now and I have all 5 of their CD's and know all the lyrics to them. Gonna be a great show, totally erase the fact that baseball will be going away that day, oh well, TOOL RULES!!!!!!!!

Bah, baseball has brought this upon itself
This is all players vs. owners and the fans get screwed as usual
Perhaps a better way to put it is the millionaires v. the billionaires
When I heard that, assuming the rest of the season gets wiped, A. Rod would lose $3.6 million, I almost had to laugh
Perhaps no one within baseball is topping to think that a second strike within a decade would cause almost all faith to be lost in the sport?  ???
It would be easy for me to blame a lot of this problem on the absence of a salary cap, but the NHL seems to get by with very competitive play
Plus, in contrast to the trade-sparse NFL, teams in the NHL often cannot afford to keep their All Star players, and so you get these blockbuster trades and significant free agent movement every year
Even though almost every major sport has had a strike of some sort, I wonder what makes baseball so especially volatile?

I'm going to see tool at the Syracuse show.  I've seen them once before and am really excited because i hear that the stage set is designed by one of my fav. artists "alex grey"....  i've bought many art prints and books by alex and i feel his artwork truley displays la-te-ra-lus's lyrical content on a visual level.....

I'm a major tool fan, and maybe i read a little bit too much into them, but i was into sacred geo & and other stuff before lateralus came out - then it just was like a minor obsession ;D

You would think after the superbowl this moron would of learned his lesson.

He will this week when Pryce kills Warner.

Quote:Lepsis expects the Rams to give the right tackle plenty of help from tight ends and from chip blocks from running backs. But to gunslinging Rams coach Mike Martz, Max-Q - offensive perfection - is more important than max protection. Keeping two tight ends into block and sending fewer receivers in to the pattern in order to protect Warner apparently doesn't jibe with that philosophy.

"Obviously, you can shorten Kurt's exposure with our protections," Martz told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch recently. "But that's not what we do."

You're team is O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D......

I though you said you guys were good? I didn't see shiat from your girls after they were biatchslapped by our LB's & DB's

Go back to beating up on the Panthers or whoever is in your weakass division, and leave the football games to REAL MEN!

Once again, road game, on grass, against a good team = Lamb loss.

Go to the NYG board. MAYBE you guys have what it takes to beat the Giants. Oh wait, it's indoors, so you MIGHT have a shot!

T Buck was just picked off the wire a few days ago.

He always could snag the pick.

Remember 97? or was it 98?

Either way, T Buck and Gordon snagged about 7 passes.

Want to know what is even funnier?

I don't know if we were blizting all game, Warner said we were, and our D said we were not.

Did we Blitz?  I have to ask those who saw the game.

I imagine we sent One, if we did.

I didn't hear much announcing of major blitzing.

Maybe Warner just thought he was being blitzed every play.

Midnight Blue
09-10-2002, 01:16 AM
The front four were getting enough pressure on Warner & Co. that blitzing wasn't necessary. And our LBs were extraordinary. It was a good win.

They are finally out._ You know about The Darwin Awards: the annual
honor given to the person who did the gene pool the biggest service by
killing themselves in the most extraordinarily stupid way.

Last year's winner was the fellow who was killed by a Coke machine
which toppled over on top of him as he was attempting to tip a free
soda out of it._ And this years nominees are:

Semifinalist #1 A young Canadian man, searching for a way of getting
drunk cheaply, because he had no money with which to buy alcohol,
mixed gasoline with milk._ Not surprisingly, this concoction made him
ill, and he vomited into the fireplace in his house._ This resulting
explosion and fire burned his house down, killing both him and his
sister.

Semifinalist #2 Three Brazilian men were flying in a light aircraft at
low altitude when another plane approached._ It appears that they
decided to moon the occupants of the other plane, but lost control of
their own aircraft and crashed._ They were all found dead in the
wreckage with their pants around their ankles.

Semifinalist #3 A 22-year-old Reston, VA, man was found dead after he
tried to use octopus straps to bungee jump off a 70-foot railroad
trestle._ Fairfax County police said Eric Barcia, a fast-food worker,
taped a bunch of these straps together, wrapped an end around one
foot, anchored the other end to the trestle at Lake Accotink Park,
jumped and hit the pavement._ Warren Carmichael, a police spokesman,
said investigators think Barcia was alone because is car was found
nearby._ "The length of the cord that he had assembled was greater
than the distance between the trestle and the ground," Carmichael said
Police say the apparent cause of death was "major trauma."

Semifinalist #4 A man in Alabama died from rattlesnake bites._ It
seems that he and a friend were playing a game of catch, using the
rattlesnake as a ball.
The friend-no doubt a future Darwin Awards candidate - was
hospitalized.

Semifinalist #5 Employees in a medium-sized warehouse in west Texas
noticed the smell of a gas leak._ Sensibly, management evacuated the
building extinguishing all potential sources of ignition; lights,
power, etc._ After the building had been evacuated, two technicians
from the gas company were dispatched.
Upon entering the building, they found they had difficulty navigating
in the dark._ To their frustration, none of the lights worked.
Witnesses later described the sight of one of the technicians reaching
into his pocket and retrieving an object that resembled a cigarette
lighter._ Upon operation of the lighter-like object, the gas in the
warehouse exploded, sending pieces of it up to three miles away.
Nothing was found of the technicians, but the lighter was virtually
untouched by the explosion._ The technician suspected of causing the
blast had never been thought of as 'bright' by his peers.

AND THE WINNER IS.........

The Arizona Highway Patrol came upon a pile of smoldering metal
embedded into the side of a cliff rising above the road at the apex of
a curve.
The wreckage resembled the site of an airplane crash, but it was a
car._ The type car was unidentifiable at the scene._ The lab finally
figured out what it was and what had happened._ It seems that a guy
had somehow gotten hold of a JATO unit (Jet Assisted Take Off -
actually a solid fuel rocket that is used to give heavy military
transport planes an extra "push" for taking off from short airfields).
He had driven his Chevy Impala out into the desert and found a long,
straight stretch of road._ Then he attached the JATO unit to his car,
jumped in, got up some speed and fired off the JATO!

The facts, as best as could be determined, are that the operator of
the
1967 Impala hit the JATO ignition at a distance of approximately 3.0
miles from the crash site._ This was established by the prominent
scorched and melted asphalt at that location._ The JATO, if operating
properly, would have reached maximum thrust within 5 seconds, causing
the Chevy to reach speeds well in excess of 350 mph and continuing at
full power for an additional 0-25 seconds._ The driver, and soon to be
pilot, most likely would have experienced G-forces usually reserved
for dog fighting F-14 jocks under full afterburners, causing him to
become insignificant for the remainder of the event.

However, the automobile remained on the straight highway for about 2.5
miles (15-20 seconds) before the driver applied the brakes and
completely melted them - blowing the tires and leaving thick rubber
marks on the road surface, then becoming airborne for an additional
1.4 miles and impacting the face of the cliff at a height of 125 feet
leaving a blackened crater
3 feet deep in the rock._ Most of the driver's remains were not
recoverable; however, small fragments of bone, teeth and hair were
extracted from the crater and fingernail and bone shards were removed
from a piece of debris believed to be a portion of the steering wheel.

Epilogue: It has been calculated that this moron nearly reached Mach
I, attaining a ground speed of approximately 420 mph.

SUPREME COURT RULES EARNINGS SHOULD BE PROTECTED AS "ART"

Recognition of Pro-Formalist Movement Gets WorldCom, Andersen Off Hook
Washington, D.C. (SatireWire.com) - In a surprise decision that
exonerates dozens of major companies, the U.S. Supreme Court today
ruled
that corporate earnings statements should be protected as works of art,
as
they "create something from nothing."

"One plus one is two. That is math. That is science. But as we have
seen,
earnings and revenues are abstract and original concepts, ideas not
bound by
physical constraints or coarse realities, and must therefore be
considered
art," the Court wrote in its 7-2 decision.

The impact of the ruling was widespread. Investigations into hundreds
of firms were canceled, and collectors began snatching up original
balance sheets, audits, and P&L statements from WorldCom, Enron, and
Global Crossing. Meanwhile, auditing firms such as Arthur Andersen (now
Art by Andersen) were reclassified as art critics, whose opinions are
no
longer liable.

"Before we had to go in and decide, 'Is it right, or is it wrong?'"
said KPMG spokesman Dan Fischer. "Now we must only decide, 'Is it
art?'"
In Congress, all further hearings into irregularities were abandoned in
favor of an abstract accounting lecture given by Scott Sullivan, former
Chief Financial Artist of WorldCom, which had been charged with fraud
for improperly accounting for $3.85 billion.

Installing the WorldCom exhibit at MOMA

"Art should reflect life, so what I was really trying to accomplish
with
this third quarter report was acknowledge that life is an illusion,"
said Sullivan, explaining his acclaimed work, "10Q for the Period
Ending
9/30/01."

U.S. Rep. Billy Tauzin of Louisiana, however, was forced to apologize,
admitting he could only see a lie.

"Yes, well, a man with a concretized view of the world may only be able
to see numbers that 'Don't add up,'" said a haughty Sullivan. "But
someone whose perceptions are not always chained to reality - a stock
analyst, say, may see numbers that, like the human spirit, aspire to be
greater
than they are."

Several Sullivan pieces are now part of a new show at New York's Museum
of Modern Art entitled, "Shadows & Spreadsheets: The Origins of
Pro-Formalism."

Robert Weidlin, an SEC investigator and avid collector, was among the
first to peruse the Enron exhibit, which takes up an entire wing of the
museum "You look at these works, and you say 'Is this a profit, or a
loss? Is this firm a subsidiary, or a holding company?'" said Walden.
"I
have stood in front of this one balance sheet for hours, and each
moment
I come away with something different."

Like other patrons, Weidlin said he didn't know whether to be impressed
or outraged, a reaction that pleased Andrew Fastow, the former Enron
CFA
who is a leading proponent of the Trompe L'Shareholder style.
"An artist should not be afraid to be shocking," said Fastow. "As did
the Modernists, we should fearlessly depart from tradition and embrace
the use of innovative forms of expression. Like, say, 'Special Purpose
Entities' and 'Pooling of Interests.'"

Sullivan, meanwhile, said he was influenced by the Flemish Masters,
particularly Lernout Hauspie, the Belgian speech recognition software
company that collapsed last year after an audit discovered the firm had
cooked its books in 1998, 1999, and 2000.

"Lernout Hauspie simply invented sales figures, just willed them out
of thin air and onto the paper," he said. "Me? I must live with a
spreadsheet a long time before I begin to work it. You must be patient
and
wait until the numbers reveal themselves to you."

And what about the reaction to his work? "I realize people are angry,
people are hurt. But I cannot concern myself with that," he said. "As
with all true artists, I don't expect to be understood during my
lifetime."

(The MOMA exhibit runs through January 3, 2003. Admission is $8,
excluding a
one-time write down of deferred stock compensation and other costs
associated with the carrying value of inventory.)

I will prolly not be able to find a good bar the watch the game.... so I said ****t... why not see what a ticket would cost to the game and for what ever reason Ticketmaster had one seat left in the $75 dollar section..... So I said well it prolly be up on the upper deck and .... I thought oh well go for it... so I hit "Buy"..... when it came back and told me where I was going to sit ... I thought well lets go see if I can find out where in the hell they are going to put me....... and this is what I found out....... Row 12 right behind the Broncos bench......... I am absolutely thrilled  here is my view..... I can not believe it!!!!!!  I went back on line and there are no more seats left on the lower level...... I got the last one available to the public.... yeah some scalpers may have some... but I won't have to pay their price...... now lets pray that that damn hurricane sitting down by Cuba will not be flying thru  Maryland on Sep 30............I will prolly be right in the middle of all the local Black Bird fans.... oh well...................GO BRONCOS

We Bronco fans are speeding on evermore,
Cheering Griese on, and bawl,
Slowly that horseman and charger go,
And scarce advance at all.

And now two roads to choose from
Are in Griese's sight:
In front the road to the superbowl,
And oblivion to the right.

I'm not God coach! he bellows,
I can't get past the point,
Of my shoulder joint,
It's keeping me in this stable!

So root, root, for Shanny's boot,
To give the Bills a condition!
For Bledsoe is coming to town,
And his arm is bitchin,

Those Bills have 90 minutes to desolate fate,
And watch the Broncos fall!
I'll reduce it to five, perhaps they'll survive,
But the chance is exceedingly small.

Alkazar- is "BWO" short for Broncos World Order? I wondered because I have a B.W.O. T-Shirt with most of the SB winning stars' names on it. It's a takeoff of the N.W.O. from pro wrestling. Before you get any ideas, I know that wrestling isn't real. Some people like to go to the circus, some people are into soap operas, I think pro wrestling is amusing when there aren't any sports that I like on TV.

Not much there for our cravens,
Gulp, it's gone like OJ's saveings,

"We are well-bred men", Ray Lewis said,
If you look past me you end up dead,
He's one big muscle inside his head,

The Broncos will grant them no escape,
These Bronco studs are taking shape,
The D is tougher than a giant ape,

Baffled, with a wolfish bark:
Shanny's mind will be the spark,
Assuring Griese hits his mark,

Talking to Billick defeat is plain,
He sanely strives to go insane,
His nerves attached to his infant teams pain,

And Darkly falls the answer dread,
Broncos revenge will be fed,
Fall on the Dirty Birds like a hundred weight lead!

I see broad waves of golden grain,
Sunlit hues on cloistered pane,
Every time the color the same, Orange again.  ;D

The pursued it with hope and prayer;
They threatened our life with Marty's knife,
The man called LaDainian Tomlinson.

But without pause we showed our jaws,
Went savagely snapping around-
We made them skip and hop, and gave'em a pop,
Until the walls came tumbling down.  ;D

Amen! I was thinking this same thing after he demonstrated the tip drill to the SD secondary (did he all of a sudden think he was TE/FB/DB?)

Also, kudos to Griese today. Shanny gameplanned around him and he stepped up big time. He needs to remember how he played today because there's a very good chance we'll see a similar gameplan come Nov. 11...

I have made it my personal responsibility to take Errand to task.

He laid down the flask when he said that untill SOB won the superbowl by 56-0 that it would be in spite of Brian Griese, not because of him.

Also, I continue to understand that only ONE TEAM wins the superbowl.

As I have said many times, not only has Errand made the fact that SOB must win the SuperBowl by 56-0, he obviously has ignored the fact that there are 32 teams in the NFL.

This fact is obviously beyond his comprehension, as somehow, a 3rd Round draft choice is is supposed to play better than John Elway did in his first 13 seasons.

When I smack Brian Bashers around, it isn't really in malice, but more of a humor. To watch them squirm and spit and make retrotakes is more than anyone could ever ask.

As I have said, and anyone else has said, Griese is a product of the system, today he delivered, yet his detractors want ot say that his performance was what they were looking for all the time?

I have no doubt that Griese will have a bad game. So far however, this has yet to appear, much to their frusration

Remember when I said that this game would define Griese?

What I heard was the fact that we didn't go balls out in the second half.

I have taken this every post at a time.

Remember when I got on Griese for his "I don't have any talent" take, and said that Tom Brady woud turn the world upside down?

This year, the same people were telling us that Bledsoe was some sort of Jesus.

Guess what, I have been right all along. The Brian Bashers have had a field day, and I have not shut them up, they try to use my own words against me....that is hillarious.

Listen to the Brian Basher..."IF YOU HAD LISTENED TO ME, YOU WOULD OF KNOWN THAT GRIESE HAD TO THROW 13 TOUCHDOWNS IN THE FIRST QUARTER"

yes, dunce cap...we heard you.

When Griese managed 2 TD's against a very good Baltimore Defense you all said it was Brian's fault.

Anyone with a braincell saw other wise.

I loved the takes today that SOB didn't kick the ball out in the second half.

Excuse me?

That is just ignorant and stupid.

Holding the 19-3 lead was paramount no matter how much you bitch and whine.

The most amazing thing to me is how they still seem to focus on Brian Griese, when we have a greatQB in reserve.

Not a single team in the NFL had SB as the backup. That isn't the point is it Brian Bashers!!!

Brian Griese kicked ass today, SB held the clipboard, and you ate crap.

You want bottom line?

Go do a stat analysis. Dumbnuts.

This doesn't mean SOB might not have a bad game,

Any IDIOT can predict an earthquake.

Fact is, Griese played an almost perfect game.

Accept it, and eat your crow.

"I'll get this one, next round is on you."
(Happy hour is about to end...beers are now a dollar, but by the next round they'll be $4.50 a pop, sucker.)

"Hey, where is that friend of yours?"
(I have no interest in talking to you, but I want to get your attractive friend in a compromising position.)

"What do you have on tap?"
(What's cheap?)

"I'll have a glass of house white." (Female)

(I'm gay.)

"I'll have an amaretto & OJ." (Female)
(I'm really easy.)

"I'll have an amaretto & OJ." (Male)
(I'm really gay.)

"Ever try a body shot?" (Female To Male)
(If this is how wild I am in the bar, can you imagine what I'll do to you in bed?)

"I don't feel well, let's go home." (Female)
(You're paying more attention to your friends than to me.)

"I don't feel well, let's go home." (Male)
(I'm horny.)

"Excuse me." (Male To Male)
(Get the hell out of the way.)

"Excuse me." (Male To Female)
(I am going to grope you now and blame it on the crowd.)

"Excuse me." (Female To Male)
(Don't even think about groping me, just get the hell out of my way.)

"Excuse me." (Female To Female)

This man walks into a bar and quickly realizes that it's a gay bar. But the man really wants a drink, so he goes in anyway.
The man walks up to the bartender and says, "I'd like a beer." And the bartender replies, "I can't give you a drink until you tell me the name of your penis."

The man is very confused, so he turns to the guy on his right and asks him, "What's the name of your penis?"

And the guy replies, "Timex... Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'."

So then the man turns to the guy on his left and asks him, "What's the name of your penis?"

And the man replies, "Energizer... It keeps going and going and..."

So the man finally understands what is going on, and he says to the bartender, "The name of my penis is Secret."

And the bartender asks "Why?"

And the man replies, "Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman."

This guy could be up shanny's alley:

This guy could be right up shanny's alley:  Jones free to sign with any other team By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com

Just two years after he posted a career-best 13 sacks, defensive end Marcus Jones has himself been sacked, released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday from the team's injured reserve list.

Jones, 29, suffered a knee injury on Aug. 24 and, while team physicians felt he might be able to rehabilitate within six weeks, the team opted to place the seventh-year veteran on injured reserve. That ended his year with the Bucs, but league rules stipulate that now that Jones has recovered, he is free to sign with another franchise.

Wow...

I'm proud to announce that the Orange Mane website has reached 1,000,000 total impressions today.  We started tracking impressions in January of 2001 (back when this was just a web site...  the discussion board was implemented in draft week, April, 2001).

In that time, we've had over 120,000 unique visitors to the site.

The Orange Mane community is a strong one...  Month-to-date stats show that we are averaging close to 5000 returns on a daily basis.  Many of them to post...  Many of them just to read what everybody else is posting.  We are averaging over 700 unique visitors each and every day.  To date, this month, we have gotten 72,000 impressions (nine days into October).  In the first 9 days of the month, we've also had 6,100 unique visitors and 42,000 returns.

Wow.

16 REASONS WHY ALCOHOL SHOULD BE SERVED AT WORK...

1. It's an incentive to show up.

2. It leads to more honest communications.

3. It reduces complaints about low pay.

4. Employees tell management what they think, not what they want to hear.

5. It encourages car pooling.

6. Increase job satisfaction because if you have a bad job, you don't care.

7. It eliminates vacations because people would rather come to work.

8. It makes fellow employees look better.

9. It makes the cafeteria food taste better.

10. Bosses are more likely to hand out raises when they are wasted.

11. Salary negotiations are a lot more profitable

12. Employees work later since there's no longer a need to relax at the
bar.

13. It makes everyone more open with their ideas.

14. Eliminates the need for employees to get drunk on their lunch break.

15. Employees no longer need coffee to sober up.

Everyone loves the king of the sea,
ever so kind and gentle is he,
tricks he will do when children appear,
and how they laugh when he's near!

They call him Fiedler, Fiedler,
faster than lightning,
No one you see,
is smarter than he,
and we know Fiedler,
lives in a world full of wonder,
flying there-under, under the sea!

Look at the sky when rainbows appear,
you can be sure, that Fiedler is near,
Call him by name or less intellect,
He'll give you a ride on his back!

We know Fiedler, Fiedler,
Knows every answer,
No one can be,
much smarter than he,
and we know Fiedler,
lives in a world full of wonder,
flying there-under, under the sea!

Many a night, way down in the deep,
oysters make beds, so Fiedler can sleep,
happy and gay when he comes along,
they all start singing this song!

They call him Fiedler, Fiedler,
Faster than lightning,
No one you see,
is smarter than he,
and we know Fiedler,
lives in a world full of wonder,
flying there-under, under the sea!

That was a dirty ass hit by your cb.  He should be fined at least 20k.  It also shows how your fans are a bunch of scum bag FUC#ERS booing CC as he got helped off.  Then chanting BullS#it as they showed they play.  They know that he got nailed right in the head and they booed it so FU#K your fans.

First off, Kennedy is a safety, not a CB... and second, if you take a closer look at the tape, the initial contact appears to be Kennedy's shoulder pad. These guys didn't join the ladies' sewing club; they're in the NFL.

Are you a blind idiot?  Obviously you are.  The shoulder pads?  Once again you are a blind idiot.  It was in the middle of the helmet and uncalled for.  Hopefully for ANYONE's sake, Chambers is ok.

Leaving you guys tonight with a little joke and I'm out!

When I was six months pregnant with my third child, my three year old
> came into the room when I was just getting ready to get
> into the shower. She said,"Mommy, you are getting fat!" I replied,
> "Yes, honey, remember Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy." "I
> know," she replied, but what's growing in your butt?"
