Scroll down and it's embedded. They deleted the actual video off the website though...

Singletary gets pretty heated in the interview and starts cutting off the reporter.

"We will not try to stop Drew Brees. We WILL stop Drew Brees."

"We will not try to the move the ball. We WILL move the ball down field and score."

Niners fans are dying off this.

He also said that there is a "rat" in the organization, and that he won't "deal with a rat."

lol

He really dug a huge hole for himself. If Saints come in and smash the Niners, things won't be pretty.

Let me add that if you think Broncos are in a ****ed up situation, just take a look at the Niners situation.

Their OC is HORRIBLE. When they got Brian Westbrook the OC said he knew nothing about him or how he plays.

That is a coach in over his head, imagine if McD even acted remotely like this. The idiots here would be prematurely soiling their pants calling him out.

This is the same coach who pulled his pants down and challenged his players to have a pair. All the while wearing that cross!

Mike Singletary is the embodyment of football!

I think his rationale for his behavior around 4:10 marks speaks volumes about how frustrated he REALLY is. I like Mike but he seems like he's losing it

Rats. Can not play with them, can not win with them, can not coach with them, cant do it.

What's the big deal? Dude is tired of talking about a story and wants to put it to rest. Didnt get visibly upset, didnt lose his cool, didnt become disrespectful, and doesnt demonstrate that he is in over his head. Now, he may not be an exceptional football coach, but that is not from this interview. Dude wants to move on and talk about new topics. Hasnt anyone here been thru that?

He's a douche bag, really, he might be next in line for DC here in Denver after next year I'm sure we'll be looking for one.

Did this OC run a bed and breakfast in Idaho by any chance?

I would hardly call that a meltdown
A little bit rude to keep cutting off the reporter I guess, but it is practically the reporter's job to generate controversy so a guy like Singletary ain't havin it
I love him just for his refusal to fall into the standard "coachspeak" that 95% of professional sports follows
Say what's on your damn mind and then back it up on Sunday
Gotta love that :strong:

^Ya but he doesn't back it up on Sunday. His terrible team just dies and he sits there smiling.

I love Mike Singletary. The Jimmy Raye hire was a head scratcher for me, but I think he did a pretty good job last year. The Niners played like complete **** last week. I put a lot of it on the coaches. If Mike isn't fired up like this, something is wrong. Kill the ****ing Saints, Mike!

I still thought it was funny.

Dude was obviously pissed... he took a tiny shot saying "he's been doing that longer than you've been doing what you do." May not sound serious but it's a shot at the guy none the less.

Doesn't demonstrate he is in over his head?

We WILL stop Drew Brees?

That's called digging yourself a hole.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in one of those Singletary staff meetings! Ha!

It's true that it is all just hot air unless he backs it up on Sundays
There is nothing that impresses me about Jimmy Raye, but the real reason that their O is putrid has a "Smith" on the back of his jersey
Many have commented that the Niners were fools for not taking a chance on McNabb, and I agree
Throw him in the mix and I think that is a 10+ win in the NFC West
With him they might miss the playoffs

the reporter did an exceptional job there...

he started the conversation speaking positively about jimmy ray but Singletary wanted none of that...he cut the reporter off everytime he tried to speak and was condescending as well, and the reporter kept a smile on his face and didn't blink an eye...

nice job to him...

as for singletary...

he's in denial if he believed he wasn't upset and frustrated...

but with that said, most of us can admit we've all been there...

i'd like to believe that if he had it to do over again, singletary would admit that he could've and should've handled it better...

Singletary did this on purpose. Or he's dumber than I thought. You don't schedule an on-camera interview after a story coming out like that and not expect the reporter to ask about it...

What strikes me is the Seahawks gave up yards to a team with no QB who is a mess. Seahawks fans are cooing over the supposed beat down they'll give us. They are in for a shock.

I don't bet or really gamble for that matter but the Saints are only favored over SF by 5.5 this weekend. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/gaming/sheridan.htm

Are there key injuries with NO or something that I'm missing? I see SF getting blown away!

Man he's digging a real big hole if he says their gonna stop New Orleans Offense (who's the best in the NFL) when they couldn't stop the seahawks (who's average at best). I want to see his interview after the game when the saints throw up 30 points on them lol.

That is actually a lot considering Saints are away, and its' a home opener for SF.
