RB Andre Brown is now on the Broncos practice squad. The team waived Bruce Hall to make room for Brown.

I guess the Giants liked him enough for their practice squad but not enough for their active roster
I wonder how recovered he is from that tendon repair
It would give us a good forecast for how things will be for Lendale

Wouldn't be surprised if players like Lendale never play a reg season game for Broncos. He was brought in as a desperation move late and IMO will be cut loose next yr.

Really Broncos have no reason to keep avg running backs on back end of career. They need to keep bringing in younger players and try and make this new system work for us. Players like Lendale White are stop gaps. He didn't pan out this yr, and probably won't next yr either.

Can you really call Lendale a desperation move when we were in training camp?
The guy has 2nd round talent and recent history of elite goal line production, so what is the harm in kicking the tires?
Especially when doing so causes no forfeiture of assets

That being said, I agree that Lendale is probably either done or going to be a shadow of what he used to be. Articles like this one don't help

"The aim of the study was to document the epidemiology of Achilles tendon ruptures in the NFL and to quantify the impact of these injuries on player performance. Previous studies have looked at the occurrence of Achilles tendon ruptures in elite athletes in general, but very little was known about how often that type of injury occurred specifically in the NFL or how it affected the athlete's future ability to play .....The study found that Achilles tendon ruptures can be career-altering injuries. Nearly 36% of players who sustained this injury never returned to play in the NFL and the ones who were able to return were never able to return to their pre-injury levels of play."

Bottom line is that this team is probably going to need to bring in 2-3 camp bodies for next year through the draft or FA
At this point we have Moreno (injury concerns), Maroney (injury concerns), Buckhalter (serious injury concerns, plus age), Lance Ball (unknown quantity), Andre Brown on the practice squad (Achilles rupture) and Lendale on the IR (Achilles rupture)
It is entirely probably that Buck, Andre Brown AND Lendale will not contribute to this team's future in any meaningful way
Not trying to be pessimistic, but we have tenuous depth at best
Enough to get us through this season IMO, but not enough moving forward

Becoming? Man Ive been here for 99% of the Mane's life and its been that way always. Every message board is like that. They mirror reality.

You must be thinking of Ball, Hall sucked imo.

Also Re: Achilles ruptures being the end of the world: Don't forget that's what ended Stokely's days in Indianapolis, but we got some solid years out of him (3? too lazy to check). The word "rupture" used in the context of something inside someone's body makes me want to throw up though :(
