So, I'm not going to sift through the gameday thread on this. And this might be a dumb question. Perhaps I just haven't been paying attention. But the Jags challenged a pass interference call today.

To put it bluntly, I didn't know you could challenge a penalty. Is this new for this year? And what are the restrictions? Are there certain penalties that can be challenged and certain ones that cannot?

They can challenge if it was tipped as that is a play which is what they tried to do. If it was tipped it would have rendered the PI null.

They challenged that the ball was tipped at the LOS not the actual penalty
