From Yahoo! Sports: "OT Tyler Polumbus is expected to start at left tackle for Seattle with rookie Russell Okung still nursing a high ankle sprain."

Could be worse on our line, Eh?

It is amazing how many teams have major issues along their offensive lines.

This might end Hasselbeck's career.

No.

Seriously.

I mentioned that last week ... Russell Okung should be back by Week 3.

But with Polumbus and Ben Hamilton on his back side, Hasselbeck's gonna know how Jake Plummer felt back in '06 :~ohyah:

Errrr .... that was Erik Pears, not Polumbus.

Carry on.

And people are worried about our line! Our third string guy is starting for Seattle - and we all know how he looked when he started!

I thought Hamilton got pulled from the starting lineup when Gibbs left? I live in Seattle, and I could have sworn I heard that recently...

You have to consider context, Broncos fans have been hugely spoiled with top talent on the offensive line, Seattle fans have no had that since Hutchinson upped and left.

He was never the same player without Hutchinson.

Except for the Saints, whose line was killing it last night.

Matt Hasselbeck is toast!

In a pure zone-blocking system, Polumbus might do okay. He was crap in the system McDaniels ran later part of last year, and so far this spring, which has more to do with power-blocking and pulling a guard.

On a related note, Hasselbeck spent this week practicing his quick release.

And he was better in the zone scheme?
