Jim Trotter: Chargers win AFC West, Ryan Mathews OROTY
Dominic Bonvissuto: Chiefs win AFC West

Tim Layden: Chargers lose SuperBowl
Kerry J. Byrne: Chargers win AFC West, Eric Berry DROTY

Non-Star Who Has Breakout Season: Ryan Mathews, Chargers: In an offensive system that has been kind to running backs, the San Diego rookie will have the ball in his hands often and make the most of it.

Coach Who Won't Be Back in 2011: Tom Cable, Raiders: The team had one of its best offseasons in years with solid draft picks and free agent moves, but another losing campaign won't be enough to save Cable.

I'll throw out two predictions, fully aware it'll get tossed in my face one day:
1- Chargers win AFC West with 9-7 record and lose first playoff game
2- The Raiders and Broncos finish under .500 and both HCs are fired

Broncos start 0-6, Football Jesus is called upon and the Broncos run the board going 10-0 the rest of the way, winning the AFCW on the last week of the season springboarding them into the playoffs on a high note. They roll through the playoffs and win the SB.

RaiderH8r hunts down Peter King to give him the long deserved testicular mashing via workboot stomping he's been asking for with his dumbassery, obliviot style, and retarded affinity for Starbucks coffee. Hey dickweed! The coffee fad is over, nobody is impressed. Here's your steaming cup of STFU and a kick in the sack you fat lump of titty turd.

I can't but since it is NFL related Steve Sabol will be there with a crew. It will be sweet with their production values and voice overs.

I want the dude who did the old Packer vids with the "Frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.." originally, not Berman's retarded ass. We can call it the "Autumn Chill of the South Stands Testicle Stomp". I will get royalties.

I actually expect a good year every year deep down. My reality side tells me we are a ways away from being a 10 win playoff team (Why lines aren't solid enough). I thought going in DL would be improved as long as it stayed fairly healthy and OL would be stellar at T and work in progress inside but, decent. As of today our stellar T's are hurt its a huge concern going in.

I'm not surprised. The Chargers remind me of the Eagles several years ago where they owned the division for half a decade mostly due to the other teams flailing around. Then the other three caught up and they looked "meh". So shall it be for the Chargers.

Your assumption Josh would get fired after one losing season in only his second year after a solid draft that includes Tebow as the project QB of the future disqualifies you from any serious consideration as a critical thinker from the get go ... But no doubt you can always find a warm bench back at DB.com's board.

Fortunately for us, Bowlen sports a far wiser, longer view head on his shoulders and isnt prone to such kneejerk numbskull decisions too often. Granted, a losing season increases the pressure on Josh to be sure, but no way in hell Josh gets canned from just dropping under .500 in his second rebuilding year with so many early injuries in training camp and the state of affairs as they now stand.

To even posit that shows a shocking disconnect with how Bowlen and the Broncos operate.

However, being in a gracious mood at the start of a new season, you're forgiven said numbskullery pending future more salient insights. Hopefully, we can offer you a warmer welcome with evidence of a little more on the ball.

Cheers! :sunshine:

I will take that action. Denver is currently +4500 to win the AFC at my out... (AKA "go to the Super Bowl").

In case you don't understand odds, +4500 is the same as 45-1. $89 x 45 = $4,005.

If you want to put $4,005 into an escrow account vs. my $89, PM me.

If you were just talking out of your ass and don't really want to bet $4000....We can do a ban bet as well. If Denver doesn't go to the SB, I will be banned for 8.9 days. If they do, you are banned for 400.5 days. (I will only do this one if a mod does the banning though since BF7 bob'd out on his ban bet)

I think McD guaranteed a third year by drafting Tebow. Bowlen has too much invested in what could be an absolute boon for his franchise. You dont want to get rid of your QB development guru who already has a solid relationship with Tebow to bring in another guy who may not do so well with him.

However, Shanahan was let go right when things were beginning to click a little with Cutler, so what do I know?

ESPN's Gene Wojciechowski predicts Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, Raiders. Here's his Broncos blurb:

Denver Broncos -- (Warning: This will be a Tim What's His Name-free zone.) There's no getting around the Elvis Dumervil injury. The guy led the league with 17 sacks last year, so good luck finding someone who can get half that number. But I don't think it will be a huge surprise if the Broncos finish higher than the Chiefs. Of course, if RB Knowshon Moreno reinjures his hamstring (he suffered a slight tear early in camp and last year he sprained a knee ligament in the preseason), the Broncos will be lucky to stay ahead of the
