I was up near the fire today and I must say This One Is Ugly! Hope the winds don't pick up and don't turn toward the east. If that happens Boulderites will be in deep trouble.

Oh, and HATS OFF to all those who are fighting this fire, especially those who have lost their homes while on the line.

Just heard on the news that they've lost 63 structures and that the nine firefighters who lost their homes to this fire have been releived of duty. I really don't know what to think of that.

I grew up in Longmont and my wife in Niwot and we never saw anything like this when we lived there.
