of Bronco safety Tori Noel, a late addition to the team roster. The former University of Tennessee standout saw little action that year in Denver, the first of back-to-back Super Bowl titles, and suffered a career-ending injury the next year during training camp.

It's not really that hard bro.....The '98 Broncos won SB 33 over Atlanta.

Hat, read the blurb in the original post again. It says the guy was on the first SB winning team, but then shows a ring from the second SB win.....I assume that's what Borks was referring to.

I remember after they won this super bowl i got to wear both rings. I have a couple of pictures. They were so big and heavy, I should of taken off with em, Haha

I saw that on pawn stars as well. The picture they showed has 2 bronco heads, So it was from the 1998 season.

I think it would be worth more than 10,000 considering the small amoung of rings that were made.

10K for the best possible Broncos perephenalia?

I couldnt justify it myself, but some single Broncos fan with 10K to burn in the bank should snap that sucker up quick. You may never get another chance to own one.

10K for the Broncos ring seems very, very reasonable. That basically means Pawn Stars paid $5k for it... sad...

Isn't Tori Noel the safety who suffered a near paralyzing neck injury in the 1999 preseason.

I wonder how much it would cost to have a jeweler make one just like it. Tell him to slap 'Elway' on there and tell your friends you took it off the Duke on a sick, nasty bluff in a poker game.

I'm reading that Reggie Bush pawned off his Heisman years before it was awarded - economics fail.

I've never heard of him...he couldn't have been on the roster long I'm thinking. I don't remember a neck injury like that either...are we sure this is legit?

I would say Tori had both rings and sold the 2nd one .... the article i quoted says he seen little action the first year of back to back titles and suffered a injury the NEXT year .... the NEXT year being the 2nd title , It never actually says he sold the first ring it just says he saw little action in the FIRST OF BACK TO BACK titles.... so I'm betting he sold the 2nd ring and kept the first ...

It confused me a little how it's written as well.

That still doesnt make sense. The way its written, he was a "late addition" one year and cut the next year. So he could have only been on the team one season, and got one ring.

I said screw it and just looked it up, he was still at Tennessee in 1997...

I don't think it says he was cut it says injured .... He was injured the 2nd year of the 2 titles . Even injured he would still get a ring I'm pretty sure. But nothing in there about him being cut...

Harrison said the ring owner identified himself as a former landlord of Bronco safety Tori Noel, a late addition to the team roster. The former University of Tennessee standout saw little action that year in Denver, the first of back-to-back Super Bowl titles, and suffered a career-ending injury the next year during training camp

But if you read it carefully it makes since considering we KNOW it was the 2nd ring because of the dual horses on it ...

How does that account for the fact that he was still a Tennessee Vol when we won Super Bowl 32? Cant really get around that fact. The article must have its facts wrong.

/shrug ... you have point but it wasn't really what we was talking about ..
just by reading it and looking at the ring we know it's not from the first title and that was the real point ... People was saying the article said first ring , when it don't ... it just says first of back to back super bowls . it don't say they bought the first ring ...

Something is odd tho , they must of goofed something in the story

Since it was asked earlier I DO remember the name and I ALSO remember an awful neck injury in preseason.
I believe it was '99 but obviously it was a long time ago.

The reason I remember it is because of Al Wilson. When he got hurt I referenced Tori Noel and remembered that his neck injury was the last we ever heard of him.

Anyway it's definitely legit or at least he was a legit part of our team.

Never understood why people would sell something like that for so little. Can you really be that hard up for whatever % less than $10k you'll walk away with to sell something so unique? Chump change.

How about this....

The ring is in a LAS VEGAS PAWN SHOP If the ring was indeed pawned at that shop, maybe there is a chance the guy either had a bad gambling, drug or hooker problem he had to take care of. At that point, you take what you are offered.

PS: If the pawn shop is selling the ring for $10,000.00, he was paid around 5-6K for it, not the selling price.

Just because of this thread, I popped it up on DVR tonight and watched it. It was just a commercial leader thingie they do where they ask a trivia question. It just asked which was most expensive, the Broncos Ring, the Rams Ring, or the Pats 01 ring. Didn't show any details as I was hoping to see it myself. I do remember them once having a guy bring in a SuperBowl ring to sell but I don't recall what team is was for.

Sad to see this. I read an article and I think posted it here about how most players are bankrupt or near within 2 years of leaving the game. I remember seeing a SB32 ring a couple years ago on ebay.

That was Ricki Lake. I dont even remember that dude. Nice to have a ring that you can pawn 12 years later and get at least $5-6k for it.

OBF1

He did not get 10 grand for the damn ring.... Just like "That One Guy" stated, It was the trivia commercial lead they do every week. They said, "Which superbowl ring has the highest value"

1) Denver Broncos
2) LA Rams
3) New England Patriots

When they came back from commercial break, they showed the value of each ring WITH A PICTURE NEXT TO THE TEAM NAME . The Denver ring was listed as being worth $10,000.00, the picture next to the Broncos was the 2 headed version, which was our 2nd superbowl victory (John Elways last game)

Now, If the stated value was $10,000.00, That does not mean that is what the person that pawned it got for it... Most likely he got 50-60% of that amount. No one in the pawn business will pay 10K for a item he can sell for 10K

End discussion

Just an FYI to everybody, I was just at the Pawn Stars shop last Thursday, the ring is still there, and they are trying to sell it for $100,000 (actually, 99 thousand and change)

If you watched that episode you would have learned that value of these rings change depending on the player they belonged to. The rings they give out to the staff are barely worth the price of the materials used for the ring.
