Nate Webster is gone. Nate Webster's flying helmet is gone (http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=70057&highlight=projectile). But all is not safe.

Until he becomes a roster casualty, LB Johnny Williams has a helmet that is at least as dangerous as Nate Webster's ever was. Last night, Williams did something Webster never did: that is, launch his helmet across the field THREE TIMES!

So, with that, I give you The OFFICIAL Johnny Williams' Helmet is a Projectile (JWHIAP) thread.

The count is currently

3

How high will it go?

Classic. We were discussing this in the game thread as it was happening. Glad to see an official thread come to fruition.

Awesome. Can we also begin a count for how many times our backup LBs pick the wrong hole?

Nate Webster (250lbs) returns to the NFL. During a game he moves at a speed of 15 meters/s with his head 5ft off the ground for a head on collision with a running back (240lbs) also traveling at 15 meters/s. The players come to rest after the collision but Nate's helmet flies off making an angle of 0 degrees with the horizon. After the tackle Nate gets up an celebrates for 2 minutes even though his team is losing by 3 TDs in the 4th quarter. Approximately how far does Nate's helmet travel?

I still say the helmet is oversized on purpose to maximize facetime with these guys.

Worked for Eli tonight......that is, if you could see his face through all the blood.

About 58 Feet, 5 inches, assuming the helmet doesn't bounce or slide, weighs 2.2 pounds, is unaffected by wind resistance, the field is flat, and gravity is standard.

P.S. I'm really, really bored.

Also, the helmet will fly 8 times this preseason, and once regular season.
