i was just thinking the other day I bet it killed him when Lebron went to the heat.....his importance in the Miami sports scene took a real hit. I figured it wouldn't be long till he did something dumb to get his name back in the news.....guess this was the tamest of his options

Out of curiosity....why do some of you care that he plays basketball? Is it that he wants to play for the Nuggets?

I don't appreciate the way he went about his departure from the Bronco's (I do appreciate the contributions he did make)....but now that hes gone...I have a hard time mustering the energy to give a crap that he wants to play b-ball if theres a lockout.

Going to be honest, I still find him hard to dislike. Not sure what it is, but even after his departure from Denver he's way easier to root for than, say, TO or Ochocinco types. Plenty immature, sure, but I think he's tons more self aware than those guys and has a chance to be a well respected player by the end of his career. And, hey, I'd be fascinated to see him on the Nuggs. Probably wouldn't be the only NFL player looking to give it a shot if they lockout.

He's forgetting that the NBA is far more likely than the NFL to be locked out next year.

That said, the response here is pretty laughable. Athlete wishes to compete in athletics! What a jerk! I knew it all along!

I have little doubt that he is athletic enough to play, but if he were really that good he would be playing in the NBA, making tons more money than he is now with less wear and tear on his body in a league that doesn't give 2 ****s about what its players do on their own time. I doubt he is good enough to play more than a 12th man role in the NBA.

Who cares?

Denver's concern should of been Clady pounding the wood at 330, and players like Ayers, Thomas, Tebow ,Decker and Fonzie.

Denver is concerned about BMarsh wanting to play in the NBA?

I didn't start the thread.

It IS sad we let a 330 pound all pro LT shread his knee in a PU game.

And yes, people actually do look and see what players dumped by McD, specifically on offense, do in LAB (life after Beavis).

Frankly, the offense looks weak, the D is old and the GM is a pencil pusher.

Then there are the unusually strong injuries, for whatever reason.

And yes, Denver Fans want to justify the idiotic moves. The best theapy is to denigrate former players, pull the "I'm a better fan Card" or simply ignore the sinking ship like the band on the Titanic.

Sure, we might win 9 games with a cake schedule, even tho we lost AT HOME to both the Raiders and KC, losing the WC going 2-8.

Don't buy a clue, get a brain transplant.

Ochocinco is great. He has none of Marshall's attitude problem and is infinitely more charismatic. His act is a show to interact with fans. Dude is fantastic with fans.

He probably wouldnt be a 15th man in the D-League.

If I get locked out next year I am going to play in the NBA as well, I am taller than Marshall and much less of a douchenozzle.

Opposing NBA teams needn't worry - just throw a McDonald's cheeseburger wrapper on the floor.

I believe we can all safely say he isn't a good enough basketball player to get a contract worth 10 million a year.

End sarcasm.

Oh...was the enitre Denver coaching staff, GM and owner green lighting the Clady basketball game...or is this a free country were a grown man can play a game of pickup basketball if he wants?

Maybe it's Clady's fault he got injured and not anyone else's. The Denver coaching staff are not babysitters. At some point these players need to be held accountable for their own actions.

Kinda like Marshall was.

This isn't Madden, you can't just turn off injuries...they happen.

I don't know what's worse; fans that make excuses for coaches or fans like you that blame every little thing that goes wrong on coaches.

Marshall wants to play in the NBA? Wow, what a horrible person he is! He is just as bad as all those kids I see claiming they want to play in pro sports!

The world would be a better place if we just locked up everyone with a dream....

You think Denver is mad at him? I don't really think so. He did what he had to do to get the huge payday the Broncos weren't willing to give him.

I don't have a problem with him because he left the team. I think that was the greatest thing he's ever done for us. I would boo him for driving drunk the wrong way down the road, passing two cars by speeding on the shoulder of I-25, then getting pulled over and not having a license or insurance, getting in endless girlfriend beatings and starting a fight with gang-members on new years eve. And that's just the stuff I can mention on here. There are stories a-plenty about this malcontent who puts on the childish grin everytime he gets arrested and weasles his way out of it because, "well garsh, he's a good guy!"

Marshall didn't even play college ball. He wouldn't even sniff a roster spot in the NBA! He's got a very large ego, though. Charlie Ward is the last "high level" player that I can think of that could of done both. I don't think even A. Gates or Gonzales could make an NBA roster, imo..
