Thanks for the YouTube video, MVP. It looks like he played both ILB and OLB. He certainly didn't shy away from contact.

We'll see...

The Broncos signed linebacker Johnny Williams this morning. To make room on the roster the team waived linebacker Nick Greisen.
Greisen had missed all of the 2009 season after having knee surgery and had a second surgery in April to remove scar tissue. He has been signed by the Broncos to add depth and for his special teams play.
Williams, 6-foot-2, 246 pounds, was a collegiate teammate — at Kentucky — with Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard and spent time on the Steelers' practice squad last season. He will likely work at inside linebacker in the Broncos' 3-4 scheme.

I'm more surprised that Williams has Youtube vids.

http://broncotalk.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/jw.jpgAnother linebacker hits the dust, but this time not in the form of an injury (at least not directly). The Broncos have waived linebacker Nick Greisen in order to make room for Johnny Williams. Greisen, a former backup to Ray Lewis, was signed last year only to tear his ACL during training camp.
Williams, who played for Kentucky in college will join former teammate Wesley Woodyard. After spending preseason playing for Jacksonville, he was waived and then signed to Pittsburgh’s practice squad on September 5th. Williams is the third Kentucky Wildcat linebacker to play for the Broncos in the past year (Woodyard and Braxton Kelley). Press release after the jump.
BRONCOS SIGN FREE-AGENT LB JOHNNY WILLIAMS; WAIVE LB NICK GREISEN

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Thursday signed free-agent linebacker Johnny Williams, it was announced. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Also on Thursday, the club waived linebacker Nick Greisen.
Williams (6-foot-2, 246 pounds) is a first-year player who spent the end of the 2009 season on Pittsburgh’s practice squad after competing with Jacksonville during the preseason. He was originally signed by the Jaguars as a college free agent on April 26, 2009.
He was a four-year letterman at the University of Kentucky, where he played 49 career games and recorded 131 total tackles.
A second-team all-state selection as a senior at Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach, Fla., Williams was born on Feb. 20, 1986 in Jacksonville, Fla.

He looks like Lil Wayne

We've now had (since we didn't resign one) the entire Kentucky LB core that played together 3 years ago.

Wesley Woodyard
Johnny Williams
Braxton Kelley

Oh yuck, another of these dread locked, my helmet flies off and I celebrate like I won the super bowl every tackle I make POS.

All we need is the next Nate Webster.
