I'm betting that Cox eventually takes that over later this year.

There are a lot of things that don't jive with me considering what we've seen them line up like in practice. Batiste is at guard, not LT, and that's not the indication we've had thus far...

We'll see.

Classic example of how the front office dictates to the media the stories they want told. Only surprise here is that Brandon Llyod is listed ahead of Stokley, DT and Willis.

I find it annoying when they do those R and L designations, you never know if the backup for the R position is also a backup for the L position. I find some times the 2nd player listed on one side is in reality behind 2 or 3 backups listed on the other side.

Jarvis Moss must be showing a little something at this point. He's listed second even though he's out for a couple of weeks. Who woulda thought?

I've always thought he showed some flashes of pass rush ability. It would be huge if he could give the team a little something in situational pass rushing.

The most useful tidbit in this document is that Le Kevin Smith pronounces his first name (lee-KEE-vin)

I'm surprised that Zane Beadles is listed as 3rd LT instead of Ryan Harris. Hell, I'm surprised that Polumbus is 2nd string LT over Harris.

I'm not surprised. Harris is one of the better RTs in the league. And Polumbus was an adequate LT. If Clady went down, I would a lot prefer have Harris stay at RT and dominate and have a mediocre LT than move Harris to a position he's not used to playing. In other words, better to just have the LT position affected by injury than both the right and left positions. Now, if you knew at the beginning of training camp that Clady would be out, you might consider moving Harris to the left. But I would never do that in the middle of the season.

Looks like Cox and Jones have passed Phonzo on the depth chart. Hope he shows something the rest of camp.

The rookies must be doing well according to the Depth Chart. The two rookie linemen are starting, Bay Bay will obviously pass up Lloyd, and Parish Cox is second team over Alphoso Smith(man that pisses me off everytime that we gave up a number one for that prick). I would love to see Moss starting over Haggins though.

Not so obvious that bay bay will take over the spot from Lloyd. Lloyd has been having a great camp and showed what he could do the last couple of games last year. Not a bad problem to have and Bay Bay will 'obviously' get a lot of snaps, but they could be at the expense of any of our three starting receivers.

Not really, Mcdaniels has said he does not want to fix one hole by making another, if you move Harris to LT you just end up with the same problem at RT and there is no saying just how efficient Harris would be at LT, while it is known that is he excellent at RT.

I believe this depth chart like I believe a hockey injury report during the playoffs. While mostly accurate I wouldn't read too much into the oddities.

For those looking its on page 36 of the PDF

The "Pat Bowlen era" stat page is PR at its finest.

It's a fact page. If you don't think Pat Bowlen has had anything to do with the success of this franchise, then you have your head in the sand. He's one of the top owners in all of sports.

He definitely used to be. In his current form, he's.....how shall we put it diplomatically.....less than ideal.

Kirlew 4th string behind Haggan, Moss and Atkins. Looks like he'll have to turn some heads in the preseason to make it. Same with Thompson - 4th string at CB, while Carter is 3rd. Hope we can at least get those guys on the practice squad if we cut them, since we gave up a 5th rounder in '11 for them.

Alexander is Ayers' backup while Reid is out. How has he looked in practice?

Willis is 2nd string ahead of Decker. He probably has a good shot to make the team. Maybe Stokley stays if Decker ends up on IR ... but that's just speculation. No idea how serious his injury from Sat night is.

S. Olson over E. Olson. My guess is if we keep 9 O-linemen, there will be 2 backup tackles due to the uncertainty about Clady's status early on (Polumbus, Batiste?), and 2 backup interior linemen (Hochstein and S. Olson).

It'll be interesting if Haggan stays at OLB when Moss returns, or if Moss starts and pushes Haggan back inside.

LeKevin Smith is 2nd string, while Marcus Thomas is 3rd. I thought it would be the opposite.

Was not long ago, someone mentioned that Alphonso Smith might be in a fight just to make the roster.

Bowlen has no question made his mark, but the cutoff shouldn't be 1984. This organization's continuous run of success dates back to 1973.

it amuses me yearly that people get so up in arms over depth charts in camp when they really mean nothing to begin with

Ok so you think Brandon Lloyd (a career journeyman and barely got a chance to play last year) will keep his starting spot over DT (who is a 6-3 230 run 4.3 and is our first round pick)? I don't care how good of a camp Lloyd is having his doesn't have the potential and the talent of Bay Bay.

Hasn't Alphonso been starting at the Nickel? So this depth chart only lists the far corners, and not the inside ones.

That's just bad logic. Broncos were on the board while Thomas was still there and they didn't pick him.

Hell, Denver could have had Ed Reed, but apparently Ashlie Lelie was just too appealing.

If The Fonz Smith ends this season behind Cox on the depth chart, its safe to say that he is officially a massive waste of a first round pick and has jumped the shark in Denver.

Interesting that McBean is listed above Jarvis Green.

I'm thinking that's a situational listing ... McBean on 1st downs/running situations, Green comes in on passing downs.
