Just got a text from a friend.

Fred will be out the remainder of training camp with a sprained ankle. Apparently he was chasing an omaner's child after he yelled out "Go Broncos!" while McD was addressing the O-line.

Nobody is safe!

You know it's bad when you're happy your second string OLB only broke his hand.

Second? I'll bet he would be 3rd string if Reid was healthy.

everyone is saying this isn't that bad,,,, but it is. It's horrible, Yeah he'll be back for the final 3 games,,, but these next 2 weeks were going to be so crucial for him. He needs every snap he can get to even come close to help filling the gap left behind by DOOM.

The fact we are all rationalizing this is an exact example of how bad this is. I agree with Kaylore.

It's McD's fault Jarvis broke his hand because he didn't tell him that if he hit it with a sledgehammer it would do some damage." lostknight

No, if he did that his hand would have turned into a pillar of salt and disintegrated

So how did he injury it?

It just snapped in half when he passed the mayo during lunch break. Denver media is saying it's obviously lack of conditioning.

Seriously, someone should tell the Broncos that we all fell for it... but it's time to come out and announce that it was all a big joke.

Yep, definitely gallows humor time ... :-\ On the very rosy bright side view perhaps we're getting the entire season worth of crap out of the way early. We may go 2 and 6 the first half and then come roaring back 7-1 to 6-2 the last half setting things up for a solid 2011 as its going?

Again, though, at least we're getting most of the guys back before game 1. Moss could have really used the next two weeks of Camp.

Also, at least we're going to have a lot of fresh legs come September 12 :-).

Hopefully the team looks at these injuries as a challenge. We're gonna find out who the battlers are.

Well the fun in watching this year will be watching some of the young talent mature without having the high expectations. Does this speed up the process of replacing Orton, it's turning into a perfect year to develop a future QB

Let's see how the team pans out after pre-season. We are still about a month away from the regular season... no need to flush this year until the team is mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs

Agreed, and you gotta think aggressively also. Not so much as a fan, but I hope the players are in attack mode, turn it up a notch mode.

Edit: Well, the fans in aggressive attack mode would help a lot, but seems like there's a more than a few pansies around here.

On this day, people should think to themselves - what would Floyd Little do?

He would naturally try to kick some ass despite the odds.

It's a little bit sappy to bring this up, but it is Floyd Little's day, and Mr. Little was a superb competitor. Mr. Little wouldn't be crying right now if he was on the team, Mr. Little would be looking to find a way where he could kick some ass.

Lucky for him he was a 'righty' as he was thinking of cutting off the hand to take one for the team a la Ronnie Lott until he realized what he would be missing in his personal life.
